I agree with a mid-April start of daylight saving. But I believe that since daylight saving is so popular Congress will likely make it year round. I am not sure it is such a good idea because in winter the sun would rise very late in the morning resulting in less safety for children going to school. I understand that it started during Wold War II to save electricity but was not continued in winter after the war.

The “Sunshine” bill was already passed last week. We will go back to standard time this November, but after that, we stay on DST permanently.

I have felt a sense of both cold and warm during fasting/low carb periods. I think it depends on the metabolic pathways. If it’s an excessive caloric deficit over a short period of time, I tend to feel cold. If it’s a more gradual modification, the sensation is warmth. It’s only a guess, but I believe this when the body has switched to predominantly fat burning.

-Here is looking at inflation in reverse. An unofficial personal survey has gasoline around $4.05/gal this week.

$1.08 in 1980 has the same purchasing power as $4.05 in 2022.

-Wait, why would we want to move spring later? Don’t we want it to start earlier!😊(Moving if on the calendar, would mean it would then end mid-July.)

-“I'm not victim blaming, but if people had educated themselves none of the past two years could have taken place.”

They are not “victims”, since they willingly remained ignorant. Also, they can most certainly be blamed, since they bare the responsibility for their actions(or in this case, inaction)

-A dollar is not ever the same dollar

$4.68 in 2022 has the same purchasing power as $1.25 in 1980.

The total inflation rate from 1980 to 2022 is 274.01%. The average inflation rate from 1980 to 2022 is 3.19% per year.
