First, thank you for the guidelines.

And, I have always cooked almost all of the meals we eat. For the most part I really enjoy the creative aspect. Once in a while it does become a chore but I have a gluten sensitivity and the risks associated with eating out are not really worth the respite from the kitchen.

Food is the very fuel of life. I allow myself to enjoy it to its fullest. I’ve always prepared the vast majority of my meals. Usually 21 out of 21 a week, unless a breakfast is skipped for occasional “fat metabolism training”.

Preparing meals allows me to slow down and engage and interact with the food personally. It requires some effort, but rewards in kind. The food is varied, and changes with the seasons. I see food as food, and try to avoid an oversimplified good/bad dichotomy. If we don’t get in the way, food provides joy and life.

I like cooking. I like having control over all of my ingredients. I love family meals. I also love going out to eat with family and friends. I don’t want to have to cook every day. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of life it just becomes a chore. I like having options.

When my clothes got too loose from focusing on low-carb, I just supplemented with pizza. It's got proteins and fats and then carbs, just like you said 🍕
