Preparing meals allows me to slow down and engage and interact with the food personally. It requires some effort, but rewards in kind. The food is varied, and changes with the seasons. I see food as food, and try to avoid an oversimplified good/bad dichotomy. If we don’t get in the way, food provides joy and life.

When my clothes got too loose from focusing on low-carb, I just supplemented with pizza. It's got proteins and fats and then carbs, just like you said 🍕
