Thinking about intermittent-intermittent fasting. I don’t think it necessarily means the end of weight loss potential. Fasting can obviously help, but the key in the end is always about reducing total caloric intake. So, instead of looking at is as a “cheat”, perhaps it’s better to think of it as a “borrow”. On the non-fasting day, the “extra” meal, would just have to be adjusted for with reduced portions in the remaining meals of the day. It would also be beneficial for this “borrow” meal to be high in fat/protein. Ironically, the worst meal of the day to be high carb(break-fast) is the one that is the highest in carbs/lowest in fat in the standard-American—diet(SAD). Some of the usual suspects: Cereal, toast, orange juice, oatmeal, bagels, waffles, muffins, pancakes, skim/reduced fat milk, non/low fat yogurt, sugary yogurts, “nature” bars, granola, smoothies………
I forget how positive I feel after I have seen you. Everything you have posted I agree with 1000%. Healthcare is no longer between a doctor and patient but a corporate board who determines what access I have. I did not listen to the sotu either. I have no time for politicians other than to contact them and let them know how bad they are overreaching into our lives. Have loved being your patient for over 20 years and plan to continue.
Wait, non-preventative industrial corporate sick-care is not ideal for the best outcomes? Maybe we just need to “educate” the public more with even more big Pharma adverts! Sounds like holistic independent health providers are just spreading “misinformation” about non-state/corporate approved practices. They need to get in line for the greater good. Pills good = more pills even better!
First CONCERNING the Tuesday evening blah blah blah from Biden… I am personally disillusioned about the union! This is meant to be a COUNTRY🇺🇸 of for the people and by the people… I grew up in the 50s and 60s and the country I grew up in at this point no longer exists! I do not like nor trust the Democrats or the Republicans. As far as I’m concerned as soon as someone gets voted in their job is to get voted in again, not to work for us!! Time for us, the American people, to grab the reins from these idiots and get our country back to where it should be!
As for healthcare… I believe it is up to each individual, not lawmakers, big Pharma or a little dictators like Fauci!! Let us do our own research and decide what we feel is best for ourselves and our families.
As for me I’m going to continue to follow your protocol, which I agree with, and try to be as healthy as possible! Not through drugs but through intelligent decisions!!
Individualized care, for me, is where it is at. Every body does not fit the standard mold. Every medicine may be good for one person but not the other. You have to be your own informed advocate. I want to know the cause, not just be handed a pill.
As far as fasting, if some days you have to change your hours, your thoughts…
I think it’s obvious that individualized care is what’s best for all of us. But I also know that the government looks at 340 million citizens as a rancher looks at it 3000 cattle. We would probably get some quality quality meat if they individualized the care for each cow but that is never going to happen. I can also see how someone that is power-hungry needs their 340 million cows to follow certain rules. I work for a large corporation and a lot of these attributes are present. 30% of the compliance on a daily basis has zero application to my business and it reduces the quality immensely. With regards to intermittent fasting I do the 18 and 6 Monday through Thursday and then maintain low carb through the rest of the week and it seems to work well for me. My goal would be to add one more day and make it a 24 hour fast.

Thanks.
Another question. I drink ginger water or turmeric water in the morning. Does that break the fast?
Lucia: anything with calories breaks the fast

You rook the words right out of my mouth. Couldn’t agree more.
