To Dr. James’s list, I would add:

-Saturated fat is bad

-Vegan diets are the best

-Carnivore diets are the best

-Carbohydrates are bad

-Cholesterol is bad

-Use sunblock

Scary environment when these new docs being pumped out of the pharma drilled med schools are truly handicapped in their approach to chronic disease. They believe what they are taught....it's indoctrination period. Agree with all you've said...surgeries, er medicine, anesthesia and some other fantastic medical treatments when not overused are a blessing. The rest is downright scary. I see friends and family members doing whatever the doc says when when I know it's not the complete picture. Sometimes poor outcomes. That being said, I am grateful for docs like yourself, the ND community and all of the individuals in the functional med space who have taken the time to pause and analyze what makes sense so that you can educate and heal.
