I’ve been doing that for quite a while actually. My favorite is a cheesesteak hoagie without the roll. Last week we ate at a local tavern that actually had lettuce wrap burgers on the menu. Some people are starting to catch on.
🤣 unfortunately this rings a bell. I was in the hospital for two days in August. Had the same situation with ordering a tuna salad. Finally ordered a tuna on white extra lettuce and tomato, an apple and cup of tea with lemon. When they collected my plate the bread remained and I reserved the apple , worked for me.
If I were to go to Burger King, ok. My special order makes them fire up the charcoal grill , so I get a fresh juicy patty off of the conveyer belt. It is truly a different burger, when it is fresh and not a cue oven warm up. Bun or no. Mustard the effort to Catsup or bring your own. I bring applesauce !
While we are on the subject of ABC agencies that are to be ignored at all cost, let’s look at the industry funded CDC/NIH, and their complicity in fostering medical apartheid for what we always knew was without cause or reason. I’m sure the media will be on top of these enormous revelations!!!!!!
It's sad just how successful they were at getting individuals to buy into the statist notion that they owed anything to the collective. They stuck out their arms so fast for free burgers and social media clout, never once pausing to consider the fact that society's just an abstract idea and made up of a bunch of individual humans, and apparently, overwhelmingly ones who lack a sense of courage or accountability for their own safety and wellbeing. Boggles the mind
When it’s all said and done, they chose the path of least resistance…..easy. They stood for nothing, and now there is nothing left to stand for. Never forget, never forgive.
As usual, completely ignore the ABC industry medical associations(ADA, AMA, AHA). They only shill for corporate Big Food. Only eat foods that were around when your great-grandmother was a little girl, limit sugar, walk, get plenty of sunlight and fresh air, and a good night’s sleep. That’s it. No need to overthink it beyond that. Full stop.

Elevation Burger, Five Guys, and a local place called Old School are our faves. None of those places batt an eye when you ask for no bun.
Used to be an Elevation Burger near me but they closed when mall did renovations. Always liked their grass fed burger wrapped in lettuce.

The best of it is that often if you order a standard burger, and then request an extra patty, the cost of the extra patty is really negligible.
Best just to grab the order, dump the junk and eat the meat.
