Been eating “carnivore” since June for health reasons and I too have less appetite. I eat more at breakfast, at lunch it depends, but dinner is no longer that important. And it used to be my biggest meal.

I also have not been very happy with the Sprouts and Whole Foods meat selection. My husband and I have been using Bagliani's in Hammonton for years. They do not freeze there meats, what a difference. The cheese selection is fantastic and their homemade chicken sausage is wonderful. They have been in business for over 60 years. It is a 25 min drive down 206 from Red Lion Circle but very worth the trip! We go on Sunday mornings, less traffic, that's our weekend after work.

Does Bagliani’s offer any grass fed beef? Sounds like a place I’ll want to visit.

Vorhees Prime Rib Queen is fit for a King. Monkey see, monk-ee do as I make a mad dash to the Library 2, later this week. I won't be readin, I'll be eatin' . I have not taken the carnivore challenge, this time, but I'm skewing close to it as I can in a lifestyle change. There is still that Jeckle and Hyde eating behavior on weekends and holiday, but still not to excess. I predict brisket in my near future., as well.

Dr. Steven, I really enjoyed your article and that piece of prime rib- my mouth is watering 🤤.

I am blood type O, and actually require a lot of meat, everyday with 2 of my meals. However not all kinds of meat are highly beneficial or neutral, some are in the avoid category and act like poison to my body like pork.

I went to a functional medicine doctor one time and they tried to get me to come off meat said it was bad for me and reduce my carbs down to very small amount per day. After the first 24 hours I thought I was going to pass out. I don’t eat fast food and I rarely eat out because who knows what they’re feeding us, but at that period of time I drove right into a Burger King grabbed a double hamburger with no cheese (because I don’t know the source of their cheese it’s probably got plastic in it) and fries and sat down and ate the whole thing. Within a couple hours, I was feeling back to normal.

I’ve been studying blood types and eating according to my blood type. It’s not a diet plan by any means it just talks about meats, vegetables, fruit, spices beverages, etc and they have three categories for each blood type.

One is “highly beneficial” and acts like medicine to our body like for my blood type, liver is very very good. If I feel like I’m going come down with something or I’ve been taking care of my parents who are sick, I will eat liver and make sure I get all that blood in there and honestly after I eat it I feel like superwoman 🦸‍♀️. We have to be careful with the highly beneficial because it does act like a medicine for our body as you know, food can be.

The other is “neutral”. I’ll just give an example- I can eat all the Black Eyed Peas I want, but I can’t eat corn. It has to do with our DNA. The original blood type is blood type O and we were hunters and then as people aggregated to different areas and then the changes with ag to industry etc, blood types started changing to A, B and then AB.

Then there’s the “avoid category” and it’s like poison to our bodies. It includes condiments, spices and beverages, I completely avoid.

I don’t eat 100% this way but I would say 85-90% and I feel best when I do 💪

About 15 years ago when I discovered about eating according to your blood type/DNA, I just dropped 15 pounds not even trying to, and I was eating from the highly beneficial and the neutral categories and not eating anything from the avoid category. There been research that shows those that have problems gaining weight to be healthy actually were able to gain weight. Like I said it’s not a diet program. People wonder why they can be on a Mediterranean diet or any other diet plan out there and some people lose weight, and some people do not- it’s really due to their blood type and they’re not even the right type of foods.

I saw your article and I’m a meat eater and I don’t feel good if I don’t eat 🥩. I do eat chicken, turkey, but red meat is my favorite. I feel like it gives me life and then I saw that beautiful piece of prime rib, I just thought I’d stop by to comment and say hello 👋

I usually don't find many items I like at Sprouts. Trader Joes across the highway has more items that I like. I usually hit Aldi on Route 70 for grass fed beef and steaks. They are reasonably priced. I also like their pasture raised eggs.
