I'm going to try yoga. I tried one time and good thing I was in the back of the class, because I couldn't stop laughing. Touch my toes? Seriously? lol I have bad arthritic knees that I cannot put any pressure on them. It is very hard to lower myself down to the ground. And stand up is a different story. But I am realizing my legs are getting cramped where they feel like any day my muscles are going to spaz out. I do stretch, but not enough. I am getting to the point where I need that jump start more than ever. I'm so tired of using excuses to prevent me of exercising. My thought IS getting stronger and I know that jumpstart is right around the corner. I had a patient who teaches 7 days a week at Yoga Revive in Marlton. Since I work in Marlton, I can go there after work. I just visited my daughter Tiffany and got home yesterday. It is time!!!! I am going to make myself out a schedule, get a marker board, and keep track of what I am doing. I do have a digital scale at work, so I will keep track every 2 weeks. Say a prayer for me lol will keep you posted

Processed is processed. Don’t be fooled by labels(Keto friendly, low carb etc). On top of the cheap junky ingredients in these type processed products you also get the pressure of paying a premium price. This particular product works out to $12.50/lb! You can get grassfed beef for less!!!!!

Hi.

I practice yoga. I go at my own pace. I feel that it strengthens the body along with stretching. The breathing aspect of yoga also helps to relieve stress.

I follow along with different instructors on YouTube. There are many levels and types to choose from.

I tried virtual yoga during the shut down. I had never practiced before and my mistake was not starting with sessions for beginners. I was able to do the postures but not the mind settling aspect which is what I had hoped for. I think it would be good to try again, focusing on practice as a complete beginner. My work schedule does not allow consistent time for in person classes and I am encouraged hearing that you enjoy virtual yoga sessions. Can you recommend any YouTube instructors?

I stretch regularly, throughout the day, when I notice tension or soreness or when I’ve completed some rigorous chore. But as for …why not yoga? Because I have a religious conviction against it. No matter what it has come to mean, that doesn’t change what it started as: worship poses to Hindu gods, and I’m personally not ok with assuming positions of worship to any god but The One. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Heh, Sarah, I understand what your saying, but my response is this, "when participating in yoga, you make out of it what you want". I am a Christian, I love yoga, when I meditate, I meditate on the things that God instructs me to meditate on. Here are some scriptures you may find interesting, Joshua1:8, Psalm 19:14, Psalm 119:15, Psalm 104:34, Philippians 4:8, Psalm 63:6, Psalm 143:5, Psalm 49:3, Psalm 1:2; Psalm 77:12, Isaiah 26:3. There are so many other scriptures, but I think this will be good for now. Whatever you do, do it to the glory and honor of God. Colossians 3:17. It is ok to do yoga.

I’ve had enough demonic experience that for me, I won’t be convinced. Maybe (maybe) for some it’s fine. I seem to be extra sensitive to whatever it is. Meditation and poses are for me two distinctly separate things.

You do what you can. You don't have to do everything the instructor says. Do what works for you. The instructor tells you that too.
