What would happen if Big Pharma was no longer allowed to :
A: Advertise on TV
B: Make political contributions
C: Directly fund research at colleges and universities
Would any of the past 3 years have been handled in a different way?
Would the future look different with how your healthcare is handled?
What would happen to the costs of pharmaceutical medications?
These are just some questions I have and was wondering your thoughts. Brainstorming usually helps see different sides to every discussion. Let’s have that in the comments.

I believe only two countries allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise, New Zealand and the USA. Our drugs would be much less expensive if advertising was banned. I cringe when I hear the side effects of some of the drugs.
Life saving medication would be available to all, not just the most affluent well insured. Money should not be a factor in the treatment plan of anyone.
Idle minds can be very easily molded. Local adult health wellness education on a more wholistic level - educate I'm the villages, making changes one mindful step at a time. Remember how they used to say, educating one person affects 10 more.
It's the old Asian Polynesian saying feed a man, a fish you feed him for a day teach a Man to Fish and where to fish and how to fish what they need to fish then you feed them for a lifetime
Dr H, as you know I take a recurring medication daily. If I buy “brand”, it’s $85 a tablet. I checked a Canadian Pharmacy....it’s $2 a tablet. Enough said?
I’d like to think all those things would make health care better for all. It will take a very long time for that to happen. Hopefully my grandchildren will see a better system. In the meantime we have to do our best to educate ourselves and spread the word!
We would be living in an entirely different world right now if those things happened. Big Pharma has captured so many groups and entities, including the government, that virtually all aspects of our lives has the hands of Big Pharma in it. Of course Big Pharma has it’s uses and has medicines needed around the world, but they should not have such a large control of the world!
Absolutely, and even more insidious than it’s capture of the government and its agencies, is it’s monolithic control of the media it funds through advertising. Control the medium, control the message.

South Africa also advertise.
Yes, that is correct, only those 2 countries. I 100% agree!
My first thought was the old cigarette commercials. IMO, Big Pharma ads are no different. It will all kill you.
Pharma commercials should be banned!
It’s part of the agenda to make people unhealthy and dependent on medication that is not going to fix their issues!
The only way to truly fix your health is diet and lifestyle.
But diet and lifestyle is not going to make money!
There is a place for medication...temporarily....but it’s never going to fix total health.

Just maybe the world would be a slightly better place.
I'd bet it'd play out like that episode of The Simpsons where Lisa steals all the teachers' answer books.
We'd probably see an increase in medical professionals seeking therapy for "Imposter Syndrome"
