Our property has about 200 trees, 8 of the older trees are black walnuts that are not really indigenous to the area. Some years they have no nuts. Most years they produce thousands. Some small, some as large as a soft ball. My husband and I learned how to harvest them. It is a lot of work, kind of like the dieting. Also, some of the large nuts contain small walnut meat and the small nuts large amounts of walnut meat.
I have found out that for "me" the keto diet is better. I had tried the carnivore diet for sometime. My weigh stayed the same. I have not lost much weight on keto but I have lost inches on my abdomen and upper legs and arms.
But the most important part of all this is we have a doctor/person who looks at us differently (like the trees) and does his best and more, to help us be in the best state of mind and body!
Let’s be honest and call it what it is, “deathcare”. Time you replant your tree out of the forest, to a clearing on a mountain top. This will give you a clear vantage point, and ample light.
*2.5lbs might have been “lost” in two days, but that is of course water weight. It takes time to put actual body weight on, and it also takes time to take it off👍🏻
Yes, some fat loss, but at 3,500kcal/lb fat, still mostly water. I’m assume a fairly normal activity level. Things change of course if energy expenditure is unusually high(running a marathon in one’s spare time🙃) . Also, those cookie snacks would have caused the initial water retention, which was let go when you returned to low carb/keto. There is also a short term bulk weight loss due to fasting, where “transient” food in the digestive track “leaves the system”☺️
The forest is an abstraction of the individual trees. We can have groups of people but they're groups of individuals.
I have my individual health and I have my doctor. Other individuals may share similar health risks and conditions as I do since we're all humans. But notice how the group never gave a darn about "our" health, and they care about as much about "our" health now as they cared about sounding patriotic about "our" country after 9/11. And notice how they both cost us our freedoms. It's been one really bad joke after another.
LOVED the analogy of people/patients and trees!

Thanks for the comment. When first switching to a fat burning mode via low carb much of the weight can be water weight.
When already fat adapted and adding in Intermittent Fasting and by it less food, the weight is both fat loss and some water loss.

I don't think public health is even a thing.
