Unfortunately #8 is not true in NJ. One of only 3 states where patients can not order their own labs.

I agree with all points and I’m grateful to see some doctors like yourself able to break away and chart a different, better path for their patients. I hope more doctors follow suit so the gift of health can be accessible to a larger population. I believe our bodies have a God given wisdom and can stay healthy and heal if we can keep our mind and body free of toxins, no easy task in our society and the current medical system is of little to no help especially when it comes to lifestyle, chronic disease. Thank you for these posts and for all your patient comments. Information is power.

100% true! When I was a nurse in the hospital system, I never saw anyone leave healthier! They left with a new medication!

What I would see the dietitians recommend made me sick…because it did not help the patient healthier at all. And what I would see come up on a diabetics meal tray was just awful!

The healthcare system sadly is run by people that are fueled by money. It’s not the patients best interest at heart! Thank goodness I don’t work for the hospital system any more!

I am totally appreciating all of your comments and I’m soaking in all I’ve learned. Obviously, what I’ve been doing my whole life has not been working and I am open to this new way of life. I am looking forward to experiencing feeling stronger and healthier like all of you! One day at a time….. Keep it coming. Thank you Dr. H!!!!

Over the years I have fired several of my GP’s for various reasons:

One asked me when my last period was when three minutes earlier had spoken to me about my prior hysterectomy. 🤨

Another was a statin pusher. When I got my cholesterol down 70pts. in four months using diet alone she said it wasn’t good enough. Another during COVID argued with me that natural immunity didn’t work

for the COVID virus! Another wanted to give me a new knee when all I had was an IT Band problem. I haven’t been to an MD or DO now in years. I run my bloodwork every so often and have my naturopath look it over. Then I tweak things with diet, movement (I prefer that term to exercise which sounds too much like work) and supplements. The last doctor I saw that I really liked was 75 years old and was retired. He saw patients in his house one day a week. The younger docs are mostly useless.

This is 100% true. However, finding a doctor that’s not part of a corporate practice, that’s current on various studies, and wants to look at root causes including nutrition is essentially impossible. And I live in one of the biggest cities in the country.

There is so much noise out there, people pretending to be ‘functional medicine’ doctors who either just want you to take their proprietary vitamins or are 20 years behind in their info that it’s a Sisyphean task to find a good provider, even knowing they’re out there. Somewhere.

Let’s face it. Today’s humans are lazy. It’s so much easier to take a pill than to change your lifestyle. It’s so much easier to let your doctor make life decisions for you than to read and research for yourself. It’s so much easier to microwave a frozen, prepared meal than to cook a simple meal from scratch. It’s so much easier to inject Semaglutide every week than change what you’re eating. It’s really quite disturbing.

As for #3…a good friend was just diagnosed with colon cancer and told me his doctors first recommendation was to go off all meat, fish, poultry and adopt a vegan diet! WTF!!! I sent him loads of information on alternate therapies and hope he reads them.

As we discussed previously, some lifelong 'patients' of the ginormous medical cartels are content not to research their own conditions, nutrition, nor treatments, preferring to be told by medical professionals what to do. I am not an ox nor a vehicle which needs to be steered. On the contrary, I need a fellow advocate & healthcare partner - which you are. Thanks , Dr. Steve.

P.S. Still a work in progress!

Disagree with #12 - Healthcare has CAPTURED the Government; it does not bend the knee. The FDA Drug approval group is 75% funded by pharmaceutical companies who also rotate their loyalists thru the revolving door of the FDA who do pharma's bidding while at the FDA but then leave for the big bucks in pharma later.

As usual 💯❗️

I have learned so much thru IMW. I filter so much information now, thru a different lens. My heart breaks when friends & family (and some Doctors) are led astray. Sheeple 🐏. I thank God for my Direct Primary Care Doc 🙋🏻‍♀️

2 more

1) Whatever the government tells you to do under the guise of public health look who is making the $ then do the opposite.

2) If a Doc tells you a DX cancer and immediately prescribes Chemo options ask him how much money they are making off of that option and if there are others.

I would say if you have are DX with cancer to follow more natural options but to each his own
