Sooooo….
I saw on Twitter (X) yesterday that Costco is/was having a Tomahawk special. Ribeyes are one of my favs and tomahawks are just big ribeyes.
Sooooo…..
Since I have been a bit less strict the past 6 months and added some pounds I don’t want, I decided it was time for a reset.
So knowing Costco is selling tomahawks for just over $10/lb, and hoping they have them at my local Costco, and since the weather is now cooperating to grill outside, and since I need a reset, I decided to challenge myself to go more fully Carnivore again. This means I will be giving up cheese again for a bit. Not because cheese is bad for me metabolically. It’s not. But for some reason cheese is to me what chips are to others. I have trouble limiting cheese which then ends up with my shirts fitting a little snugger.
Soooo….
Here is my Costco haul today which I plan on eating over the next few weeks.
6 Tomahawks
Thinly sliced ribeye meat
Sea Bass
Steelhead Trout
I could eat just beef and be happy but I also like Sea Bass and Trout and both fish actually fill me up.
So if anyone wants to join me in this challenge, let me know in the comments.
You need to provide your own food, so don’t get the wrong idea. But I hope to provide pics of my meals on the Substack app in our group chat. If you don’t have the app you can get it by clicking on one of the boxes below.
We like getting our meats from Bringhurst in Berlin. Good quality, ethically raised by local/regional farmers, no antibiotics, and they have a ton of variety. Their brisket and beef short ribs are so good.
I’m in! I’ve added a few things into my carnivore diet - still 95% - but I don’t think they are serving me well so it’s a good reason to stop them again for a few weeks to see if there is indeed a difference.
