I trust your knowledge so am hoping you can set this straight…A NP told me today that mild cases of covid may not develop antibodies. Is this true? I had covid 3 weeks ago, and it was very mild with 1.5 days of an intermittently clogged nostril. I have been counting on having at least 3 months natural immunity (likely linger if the CDC says minimum 3 months, ha!) and was really disappointed to hear this may not be the case. What does your research and knowledge think?

Also, while I had covid, I used the Xlear but did not know about the iodine and food-grade HP until I just read this. My 18yo son just tested positive today and we have another bottle of Xlear here. Will it be ok to use it on its own, or should I get the iodine and HP asap?

Thank you!

Has anyone else figured out their ratio for the nebulizer solution?

The ol brainfog is making it very difficult to understand, so I kinda just winged it based off of what I saw around online and what I have on hand..

Dissolved ~ ½ tsp finely ground celtic sea salt into 8oz distilled water for saline solution

Dissolved 5 drops of 650mcg (micrograms) nascent iodine into about 4oz of distilled water

The nebulizer medicine cup volume is 8ml

I put a couple spoonfuls of each into the 8ml nebulizer medicine cup up to the 8ml line and added one drop of 3% hydrogen peroxide to it (the brown bottle topical kind)

Now if that's even an effective solution, I'm not sure how much of that resulting 8ml nebulizer medicine cup solution to use in one sitting, or if it is a fast or slow nebulizer flow rate over time type of deal then how many minutes to breathe it in for 🤔

I did have a different question about antihistamines. As a child I got dimetapp shots from my doctor, later pill form. As I got older, zyrtec, claritin and allegra were suggested but after many years no longer helped. Frustrated by 2005 a chiropractor suggested antronex it has been working since then and I even take it less then the later mentioned pills. But I am not sure because of its ingredients if it would have the same effect with the pepcid?

I recently, upon Dr Horvitz's suggestion, purchased a nebulizer for $29.00 at a store in West Berlin CPAP shop (they also ship by mail). LOVE IT and the price to. The manufacturer is Philips (1 L) I got the one with the mouth piece vs the mask and easy to clean, too. Guess what every one got for a holiday gift?

We have and use Neti Pots on a regular basis. We make our own solution by adding a quarter teaspoon of salt and a quarter teaspoon of baking soda to the water. I wonder would it be okay if we also added a drop each of the hydrogen peroxide and iodine to that mixture? We have not been done this in the past but should we boil the water prior to using it or is straight tap water okay?

you can just add a drop of each. Iodine and peroxide is a natural antiseptic

Dr. Horvitz...there are a million nebulizers out there, and three different types - mesh, ultrasonic, jet...

What should we be looking for??

I have recently used the Xlear without the additions. I think it helped. I will now get the iodine to add. I already have 12% food grade hydrogen peroxide. Dr H, what strength would we use for adding to the nasal spray?

food grade at 12% is fine. You are only adding one drop
