More from the The 2022 Congress of Medical Excellence hosted by the American Osteopathic Society of Rheumatic Diseases (AOSRD).
After all that learning yesterday I slept well. A good nights sleep is definitely helpful in clearing your brain so you can put more “stuff” in it. So here is some of the stuff I learned at Day 2 of the conference.
1- Presentation on prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease using Nitric Oxide. There was plenty to this presentation but here are the most important take aways for you. Nitric Oxide gets produced in the mouth which helps dilate arteries and helps to prevent high blood pressure. Sooooo, we do not want to do anything that lowers Nitric Oxide production. The question then is:
What lowers nitric oxide that I have control of?
Mouthwash that contains chlorhexidine
Acid reducing medications such as antacids, H2 blockers such as Pepcid, Tagamet, Zantac, and PPI’s such as Prilosec (Omeprazole), Nexium (Esomeprazole), Prevacid.
Fluoride toothpaste
Soooo again, perhaps reduce or avoid the above bulleted items if your blood pressure is elevated and you can not find other causes.
What raises Nitric Oxide naturally?
Exercise
Infrared Light
Infrared Sauna
Next good presentation was on Mold, Mycotoxins and Autoimmunity presented by Andrew Campbell MD, who has been treating mold related illness for a long time. It was a good presentation as his beliefs are similar to my own in using the best of both traditional and functional medicine for evaluation and treatment of health issues.
The lab he uses is mymycolab.com .
If you have mold/mycotoxin illness and want to speak more about this, send me a Spruce message and we can set up a time to discuss.
The last presentation and the best of the conference so far was on COVID-19 Vaccine Safety and Efficacy by Dr. Peter McCullough. I am all for freedom of choice as to how you decide on what to do for your health. I ask you if you believe you have true freedom of choice about whether to take a COVID vaccine. Generally this would not be an issue as the super majority of Non-COVID vaccines on the market are generally safe AND you have the right to get those vaccines or NOT. That is your choice and you are given full informed consent about the risks and benefits.
Dr. McCullough’s presentation provided truer informed consent and brought up research studies that the mainstream media and governments have been ignoring or censoring.
In the end it is up to you to choose what to believe and what approved treatments you use. But I like to at least hear all sides of each treatment before deciding and not feel nudged, coerced, forced, threatened or mandated to take a treatment I am not comfortable with.
If you have a chance to see a Dr. McCullough presentation, please do so.
We are in the last few days of the Intermittent Fasting portion of the #IMWChallenge .
Let’s have another sound off in the comments. I would like to hear both benefits as well as problems or issues you have had with Intermittent Fasting. The best way to get through issues and turn them into positives is to discuss, and then make some changes.
Sorry but there are no memes or pics today.
The New York Times writes that:
“At the individual level, human beings cannot flourish without the confidence to take risks, to pursue ideas and express thoughts that others might reject…When speech is stifled or when dissenters are shut out of the public discourse, a society also loses its ability to resolve conflict, and it faces the risk of political violence.” https://rwmalonemd.substack.com/p/mendacious-new-york-times-warning?r=z5lky&s=r&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&utm_source=direct
Thank you for the recaps. They are informative.
