People eat what they can afford though. I still haven't gotten used to the taste of real butter, Parkay was delicious. If you've never known the joy of a tub of Country Crock and a fresh baguette off the bakery aisle's evening markdown rack, it's well worth cutting life a little shorter for 👍

If you like the taste of artificially flavoured margarine, that’s your right, but actual butter is often on discount, and at almost parity with the hydrogenated seed oil concoctions. Many of us are victims of mid twentieth century industrialised foodstuffs, let’s not condemn future generations as well.

The future generations were condemned as soon as they were conceived by the thoughtless beings that decided to bring 'em into existence without their consent in the first place. Life's a joke, eat some margarine

Yes it is, and I’m enjoying the laugh, as I am the real butter. Yes, we are condemned to suffer by the very nature of our being, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t avoid needless suffering.

I do remember that Parkay commercial and all its variations! I also remember my mom trying to trick her father, my grandfather, into switching to margarine. He always new the difference in taste and never switched! Terrible brainwashing that occurred in the 60s and 70s over food. That generation didn’t have the digital means like we do to find alternatives. Even I struggled with this in the 80s and 90s while raising my children. So thankful to have found better and more information as I entered the new millennium. Thank you for all you do to help me stay educated on this!

Wait, you start by saying you usually harp about carbohydrates, and then you completely avoid the subject of carbohydrates? Carbohydrates will not be going away for the vast majority of people. It’s more beneficial to direct people on how to incorporate them in health amounts and variety.

I find that I have the worst time with seed oils when we order out. I don’t keep any of that fake crap at home. I need to cook more than I presently do. I really loved this article. Also I loved how you fixed Dave Feldman tweet about the health problems that come from a terrible diet. Thanks for all of your content.
