Again, Big Pharma is running the healthcare show - as they do whenever there is huge money to be made. Many of those closest to me take statins. How I wish they wouldn't!

The AI answer to my search engine query:

"Based on the provided search results, the most widely prescribed drug in the USA is Atorvastatin, also known as Lipitor. It was prescribed to 24,493,971 patients in the United States.

Atorvastatin is a statin medication used to:

Treat abnormal lipid levels (high cholesterol)

Prevent cardiovascular disease

This information is consistent across multiple sources, including:

“Ranked: The Most Prescribed Drugs in the U.S.” (November 3, 2021)

“Top 20 outpatient prescription medications” (December 30, 2022)

“Top U.S. pharma products by prescriptions 2021” (May 22, 2024)

Note that the exact numbers may vary slightly depending on the source and year, but Atorvastatin consistently ranks as the most widely prescribed drug in the USA."

CVD is still the leading cause of death. What else need be said. They are covered legally which created limitless opportunity.

How can the medical community not take this seriously? How much longer can they continue to turn a blind eye to the facts about LDL and continue to prescribe this stuff? I understand the financial incentives but the information is getting out there and there’s nothing they can do about that.
