I love this little parable. Here is my addition. I have been caring for my garden for 30 years. Has he tried applying more government to the problem 🤔 If they all took a vote I'm sure most would agree to just let the government decide for them and let that be that, it's not like doing things democratically is mob rule or anything. And if it doesn't work out they could all wear masks forever! Solved

Either way probably nothing to worry about, all the pesticide companies always seem really nice, I doubt they would spend so much on advertising and on defensive litigation if there was any real risk of harm to life or property, corporations love property they own TONS of it themselves so they would never do anything to harm ours.

My husband and I bought a 3 acre 200 year old chicken farm 20 years ago. Pesticides were never used on the property because of the chickens. Different weeds were planted to provide grubs for the chickens diets. Dandelions for greens and wild scallions. Wild strawberries and raspberries.

Most of our neighbors have problems with the lantern bugs. Not us. We have deer, ground hogs, foxes, black snakes, frogs and turtles along with wild turkeys.

My neighbors do not like weeds, they use lawn irrigation and safe pesticides? Good thing the animals know the difference!
