As COVID continues to morph to a less harmful virus for most, we should look back at COVID and learn.
Here are some things I learned over the past few years of the Plandemic of Covidmania.
I learned more people can work virtually and not have to commute into a physical office.
I learned life slowed down as people started doing more at home instead of spending more time away from home.
I learned family time, at least immediate family time within your own family social circle, increased, usually for the better, at least hopefully, if you like your family…... Also you learned who your immediate and closest family truly are.
I learned that there are many people and organizations out there that like to take advantage of any situation they can, especially COVID.
I learned outdoor activities are fun and stress reducers.
I learned that you can drive to a vacation getaway and NOT be at the mercy of a transportation system still trying to fix itself. You can do this on curvy
and winding mountain roads.
FYI- this is a 2 lane road that really only fits one vehicle around the turn. It was just so much fun driving the first time at night when I was not expecting it. So I learned not to keep a car in Fuel Economy setting when you are going steeply uphill at night on a dark windy road you have never been before……
I learned many people, especially healthcare professionals for some reason just follow orders instead of thinking critically and independently.
I learned many people, especially healthcare professionals, were coerced, forced, threatened to just follow orders or they could lose their jobs or have their licenses threatened.
I learned that while hospitals can save your life, that I preferred when they were run more by medical healthcare professionals on the frontline as opposed to corporations and business executives that are more entrenched with third parties and government edicts than individualized patient care.
I learned many politicians who do not have real true front-line healthcare experience seemed to like the power grab that gave them the ability to mandate all types of “healthcare” to those on the front-line.
I learned that if you want to stay healthy, question everything, ask for data and proof, look over the data and proof yourself, and try and disprove it. If you can’t and it appears safe, then maybe it’s worth a try.
I learned that when people in power realized they did not make the best decisions early on, that they prefer to double and triple down on their “errors” as opposed to seeing the problems and fixing them moving forward.
I learned that ego is the enemy when you have a position of authority or power.
I learned that many older generic medications and nutritional supplements can work just as well or better than newer more expensive medications. Well actually I already knew this, but I wrote it for you all to think about.
I learned that Big Pharma is all about profit and not much about truth. I really hate to say this as early on in my career I was a Big Pharma fan. I guess I grew up or maybe just took off the blinders. I don’t understand why you can’t be truthful and also make a profit. Maybe I am just too naive.
I learned to support independent pharmacies and independent private healthcare professionals who have the ability to think for themselves and for their patients/clients. We need more independents not less.
I learned that meals I make at home, 99% of the time taste better and are healthier than anything I can get eating out.
I learned how to make a delicious organic Steelhead Trout. I make it at least once a week for dinner and every time is outstanding.
I learned that every substack post/blog/newsletter needs some sarcasm and memes or it is a wasted read.
So I will end here with a few recent memes/pics.
.
And finally, I learned even more, that I learn from every one I interact with. I learn more what to do as well as not to do. I learned we are social animals and do best when with our friends and family we trust, whether it is a small social circle or a large one.
I also learned to always ask for comments and questions as again, that is how I keep learning and I hope you do as well.
While I am known as being just a tad sarcastic at times, I just want to say how much I appreciate all the subscribers to my Substack, Common Sense Health and Wellness, especially the paid ones! Your support is so greatly appreciated.

This was great, thanks Dr. H! Best line: I learned that every substack post/blog/newsletter needs some sarcasm and memes or it is a wasted read.
