How would you feel if you were sold on a chemical product that stated if you permanently put this chemical into your home plumbing that it would protect your home from your pipes ever freezing?
Pipes never freezing means water always runs smoothly and no pipes ever get clogged or burst. No mess, all is well which is great!
How would you feel if within 6 months of the chemical being added to your plumbing (BTW- you can probably never get the chemical fully out of your plumbing), not only are your pipes beginning to freeze up, but they are freezing up more than your neighbors who didn’t have the chemical put into their plumbing?
How would you feel if the corporation who sold you on the chemical application never did studies longer than 6 months to see if their chemical product would continue to work but still sold the product and actually kept selling further extra applications of their chemical to you with government oversight full approval? I mean who wants their pipes to freeze up? What is the worst that could happen?
How would you feel if others who were not so keen on this chemical product added to your water were not allowed to speak up to give you a different opinion about this new chemical application?
A majority of the people I know aren’t aware that the product they purchased is flawed or problematic because everything they read or watch tells them they made the correct decision. Unfortunately, this isn’t limited to a faulty product; it carries over to our border situation, economy, crime, energy. Just ask Joe and the media and you’ll hear he’s doing a great job. I expect we’ll be seeing more plumbing products in the near future.
But in the case of people silly enough to go along with something like this...well there's no reasoning suckers out of a position that they arrived at by way of emotion. Really it just doesn't much matter to me how they feel, they should've thought about what would happen to other individuals back when they were advocating for using government force to threaten peoples livelihoods and demanding to violate their bodily sovereignty.
By going right along with the govts scheme, they sold the rest of us out in the name of covering their own asses under the guise of being virtuous, and many of the True Believers even cheered for the deaths of those who refused the clotshots and died -- not due to refusing the shots -- rather simply because they didn't receive appropriate medical treatment in time, but instead received the CDC Special, care of their local Dancing TikTok Heroes.
Lucky for those undiscerning and ultra feely folks, despite some of us being wholly unable to empathize with their particular rollercoaster of emotions resulting from their self-inflicted compromise of bodily integrity and loss of sense of self-ownership and dignity, there are still some gentle organizations out there like React19 full of kind individuals looking to lend them and all their feelings a variety of forms of aid when the regret finally sets in.
Even with all the victims finally conceding the hit their health has taken for it, too many still stubbornly believe that while their pipes are freezing more frequently, "they aren't freezing as bad as they would have otherwise!" It sure is a lot of fun to continue getting their goat about this one though. Someday after they've had enough friendly trolling, they will acknowledge reality and be able to move on from defending their terrible judgment calls.
On a side note, I wouldn't put any stock in government approval. Gimme free market anything any day of the week over something "authorized" by the FDA, ABC, P.O.S., BBQ this-or-that
Good analogy, except this plumbing additive never received full government approval, and has been under an indefinite emergency use in order to protect the manufactures from any liability.
You would think that the homeowners that were deceived and/or coerced into using this chemical by their employers/schools/government would be absolutely gutted and rightfully furious, but you would be wrong. They will remain quiet on the matter for their remaining days.
Some combination of embarrassment, pride, lack of humility and cognitive dissonance among many others. The reasons really don’t matter. As long as the majority of the masses continue to wilfully bury their heads in the sand, the destruction of society will continue. At this rate, we are looking at a multigenerational process, that none of us here will live long enough to see the other side of it.
This is a GREAT analogy. The fear of ones pipes freezing is causing them to use something that ISN'T working and is actually harming their plumbing system. FEAR is making people do completely irrational things.
