I skipped my BELOVED (yearly made) fried Matzoh, made with egg and onion Matzoh. My plan was to get plain crackers and add my own egg and onion. One year, I fell very ill and I was fed ONLY matzoh. I wondered if it had some healing power, but it turns out that Matzoh was the only food they could easily slide under the door. Hey ! I devoured one of those punishment brownies ! 10Q .

I know I have shared this before. Lamb w/sour cream lemon, paprika sauce is our favorite. And you can not forget the bay leaf.

This year my sides will be different. Fondant potatoes, broccoli rabe and smellets. Smellets are inexpensive and underrated, made right, they are delicious. You can keep the gefilte fish! Our dessert is deviled eggs! A Happy and Safe Holiday to all!

I make a healthy sweet potato pie, with sweet potatoes, Carrots, eggs, raisins, cinnamon. There are some healthier kosher Passover items at Whole Foods, no msg gefilte fish, chocolate macaroons, even candy with no artificial ingredients.

I actually have a healthy recipe for making a fish loaf out of salmon, cod, eggs, onion - that we call gefilte fish and is quite tasty. I too despise the stuff that comes in a jar. I do like horseradish so following tradition, I do serve it that way at the seder. Interested?

Being gluten free for many years means I have found many healthier seder and Passover alternatives.

I cringed the day I saw gf matzah had been invented.
