My husband was a dentist for over 40 years. At times he would ask a child to pour a glass of Coke and put their tooth that fell out in to the glass. The Coke eats the tooth. My son at the early age of about 7 or 8 knew when he drank a glass of Diet Coke he would get a headache. At that time no one knew about aspartame and the inherent ills. He’s 40 now and hasn’t had a Diet Coke since then, though he doesn’t drink any soda.
I see one of those chaffles in the photos, is that literally just cracking an egg and mixing in some cheese and pouring the mixture into the waffle maker, or does it call for additional ingredients to get it to the right consistency?
Yes it is a Chaffle which is eggs and shredded cheese mixed and poured into a waffle maker. Once poured in I added some chopped up already cooked meatballs.
Usually 2 eggs and 1/4-1/2 cup of shredded or grated cheese.
I was thinking of the ban on advertising cigarettes (and I have never been a smoker so I not opposed to that ban). I just wonder how that is different from advertising the plethora of other things we ingest that are clearly contrary to good health without much in the way of actual facts about the effects making those choices. In order to make an educated decision you have to seek out the kind of information that can be found here. That information is never “force fed” in the same way advertised products are.
It’s really splitting hairs when you are trying to compare different forms of poison, but artificially sweetened sodas manage to be even worse for you than the HFCS bomb that a regular soda is. You only live once, so choose wisely, and skip all poisons.

The traditional advertisements are now prohibited, but the tobacco companies still spend about 8 billion annually in marketing. Here is a breakdown.

I have never understood how we choose which poisons are banned from advertising.
Renee
I’m not looking to ban anyone.
Freedom of speech doesn’t mean you like or agree with the speech.
I prefer open dialogue, debate and discussion WITHOUT censorship, coercion, bullying etc.
Each persons truth with come out if we are free to hear many viewpoints.
Profits>People
Alcohol, cigarettes = tax revenue
