As we near the end of the #IMWChallenge of Intermittent Fasting for the month of March, I will ask a few questions to pull things together. Please think about the questions and reply in the comments. Remember that your replies are meant to help others think thru how to best succeed in their journey by your examples that worked as well as by your kerfuffles.
What was the most difficult part of Intermittent Fasting for you?
What was the easiest part ?
Did your gut health change?
What happened to your appetite?
What was the longest you fasted?
Did you exercise while fasted or after eating? Either way did you notice a difference?
What helped to keep your appetite in check while fasting?
What made it difficult to keep your appetite in check when fasting?
Has anyone who has taken part in the Low Carb or Fasting Challenge been able to reduce any medications or supplements they had been using?
If you have any other questions please also ask them in the comments section.
If you can bookmark this post weblink and refer back to it in the future when you try and remember what worked and didn’t for you during this challenge.
Before I comment on the last day of the AOSRD conference, I am putting in a link to the British Medical Journal on the state of EBM, Evidenced Based Medicine.
It is worth a read, especially if you like to put your faith in the evidence arising from Big Pharma, Big Universities, Big Government, Big Tech and Big Business. It may just open your eyes.
The 3rd and final day of the AOSRD conference, the Congress of Medical Excellence 4.0 had a few good presentations. But I will briefly focus on a talk by Felice Gersh, M.D. Her presentation was PCOS- The Perfect Female Storm. It was good enough that I will be going back to re-read and review the slides some more once I have time.
If you believe you have PCOS, you should look for some presentations online given by Dr. Gersh. Linked here is a presentation she gave on Estrogen and Immune Function last year.
Things that make you go Hmmm……
The April Exercise and Activity #IMWChallenge will be starting soon. More on that to come soon.
As always, questions and comments highly encouraged, especially as we come to the conclusion of the Intermittent Fasting #IMWChallenge.
I did great with the low carb and intermittent fasting..I lost about 8 lbs. in a month..I am roughly estimating this weight loss, I did not start weighing myself until March 9th. .. I was able to do a 1 day /24 hour fasting...I just drank water , but I had lots of energy..got lots of errands done..the hardest part with the low carb is going out to lunch or dinner socially, I usually will go off the low carb and eat whatever, but the next day get right back to watching my carb intake and following the intermittent window. I did light exercise while on the program and I am eating much healthier..looking forward to April's program, and I plan on incorporating more exercise during the month of April.
Let me start off by saying that both the low carb and fasting challenges have been very good for me. I was actually about a month or two ahead of the official start of them. I started low carb to lose weight. That really kicked in when I started the fasting along with it. My goal was to get off BP meds. My goal was reached and holding steady. But along with that I just feel way better now. I sleep well and have more energy. My joints don’t ache like they used to. So no more Motrin or Advil. The easiest part for me was getting started. The hardest part has been this last week with cravings for carbs. I don’t know why. I’ll get over it. When I do cheat my gut let’s me know it. And the longest I have fasted is 18 hours. Looking forward to the next challenge.
