In an ongoing series on Common Sense Health and Wellness, there is another Danger Will Robinson pic coming soon.
This time from the ADA, aka the American Diabetes Association.
You would think the primary goal of the American Diabetes Association would be to help improve Diabetic care. Maybe it would even be to eliminate Diabetes and get people healthy again.
I know, I seem to enjoy picking on the ADA, but they do make it just so easy.
Here is a recent recipe from the ADA they are promoting as healthy.
Look as well, that this recipe on their site was sponsored by Davita, which I believe provides Dialysis services to Diabetics whose kidneys have failed due to Diabetes.
Ummm, do you think that recipe is healthy if you are Diabetic?
Ummm again, do you think that recipe is healthy if you are not Diabetic?
I challenge anyone reading this who is using a continuous glucose monitor to watch their glucose levels before and after eating this meal.
Where is the protein in that meal, you know protein, that helps build the body while stabilizing glucose levels?
Where is the healthy fat in that meal, you know, healthy fat that helps fuel the body as its major source of energy, as well as being a major part of every cell membrane in the body? Don’t say the healthy fat is in the “light Mayo”. 99% of Mayo is made with highly inflammatory highly processed soybean oil. Never put that stuff into your body if you can avoid it.
I am just about ready to come to the conclusion that the ADA is a corporation whose intentions are more to drive more $$ to their corporation. Why else would they put out recipes that are just about the exact opposite of that which would help Diabetics? Maybe the more Diabetics in the world, the more funding they get?
I wonder who financially supports the ADA. My bet would be, if anyone wants to fact check me on this please do so, my bet would be Big Pharma and Big Food.
If I am correct, please answer me this.
Does Big Pharma have a goal of getting everyone healthy so they can sell LESS pharmaceuticals?
Does Big Food have a goal of selling LESS processed inflammatory food ?
I doubt it but tell me what you think I the comments below.

Yes, just more of the same. It's so frustrating that you can't trust any of these organizations or our governmental agencies to provide true and sound information to stay healthy and/or get healthy after the fact. And god forbid you end up in the hospital as a T2 diabetic, you either eat similarly to the referenced recipe, or choose to not eat. My last stay, I refused to eat except hard boiled eggs (they allowed me two), that I had to request because I'm sure the "scrambled eggs" were probably liquid eggs from egg whites.
