#8 about MCAS makes so much sense to me. Especially the connection between MCAS and histamine intolerance.

Oh boy…I know first hand about MCAS and mold exposure. It almost killed me in 2014. No allopath was able to begin to treat me. Had no clue. My symptoms were completely debilitating. Weeping rashes over 75% of my body, memory loss, confusion, headaches, massive food allergies (was down to tolerating only boiled chicken, white rice and green beans-literally), and incredible weight loss (30lbs in two months) Thankfully, I have a hobby of reading medical studies and spent hundreds of hours online digging and reading. Had a local biologist come out and test the house I had just moved into six months prior (at which time I was healthy and symptom free). Every surface he tested was covered in mold. Within a few weeks I moved out and rented a new home. Had him test it before I moved in. And then the long road to recovery began. Ten years later I still have some lingering mast cell issues but they are very manageable. My husband had zero problems living in the moldy house.

Do you mind if I ask how much it was to have the house tested for mold?

Look up Immunolytics. They send you Petri dishes u open up for a few hours in whatever room(s) u need. It’s a good quick less expensive initial screen for mold spores.

I paid $400.00, but it was ten years ago. You need to find an independent person who ONLY does testing. Not remediation. Most of the companies who do both testing and remediation are scammers.
