Yesterday I spent most of the post discussing my new low carb favorite, none other than the CHAFFLE.
So I will start today with CHAFFLE 2.0, or what I ate today with the CHAFFLE.
Here are the ingredients.
Here is the end result.
The Chaffle was once again made with 2 eggs, 1/2 a cup of cheese or more, and I added everything bagel seasoning to the mix before putting it into the waffle iron.
I removed the Chaffle and toasted it to get it a bit more solid and almost crispy.
Instead of mayo, I used some Tzatziki spread on the Chaffle and then added sliced turkey, pastrami, onion, tomato and roasted red pepper. Tzatziki is my new favorite spread and I find myself looking for more places to use it.
I am open to any ideas???

The Chaffle result #Delicioso
FYI- Not only are Chaffles low carb but they are very filling.
The above sandwich was like eating a cheese omelet PLUS sliced turkey, pastrami, pepper, tomato and onion.
This Chaffle was my first meal of the day around 1:30PM, so I did an Intermittent Fast which works great in combination with a lower carb diet for a healthy metabolism. I had some errands to do early in the day so getting out of the house is a great distraction from being home near the kitchen.
We will discuss more about Intermittent Fasting when we get to the March 2022 #IMWChallenge.
So stick around and in the meantime let me know your favorite Chaffle recipe/meal.
Be creative and have some fun!
Keto Brain
One of the many reasons I like low carb and keto-ish diet/lifestyles has to do with the brain effects. My brain has never felt so clear and level.
Brain Fog never occurs.
Sleep is usually deep and restorative.
Hunger and cravings are definitely decreased.
Creativity increased.
Sarcasm- well that was never an issue before but even that has been enhanced.
Ability to problem solve- greatly enhanced.
The problem solving is kind of what I do for a living so being Keto is almost like a job requirement for me. But problem solving can also be fun during down time or time away from work.
Soooo, I was introduced a week or so ago to a new free online daily word game called WORDLE.
The object of the game is to solve the puzzle of getting a 5 letter word correct.
You only have 6 guesses to get the 5 letter word correct. If you get a letter correct it tells you. If you guess a correct letter but it is in the wrong spot it tells you. But again you only have 6 tries to win. There is a good bit of strategy involved.
Here is where I believe a Keto Brain comes in to play.
Clear thinking, no brain fog and the results.
34 wins in a row before I missed one.
I used to do crossword puzzles in Medical school and never did well. I was also a Standard American Diet follower then. That is only my experience but all experiences count as that is what science is all about, unless your initials are T.F.
There is an offshoot of Wordle called CrossWordle.
Here is a special Crosswordle for everyone to try that I made up myself just for all of you.
Let me know if you solve it.
Meme of the Day
This is why I no longer watch any news.
It’s less about news and more about spin and stories, mostly fiction and mostly to get you to think and believe in their desired direction instead of how you would normally think in an unbiased world.
For those here that are very low carb in order to be in keto, do you have issues with sugar-free products? Specifically, does the perceived sweetness create an exaggerated insulin response that takes you out of keto? Digestive issues from these products is another story.☹️
Solved. This is the second obsession this weekend. Chaffles and wordles and low carbs, oh my!
