I love your car carnivore challenge. I think one day I would love to do that. Beings I am the head cook, and bottle wash for so many mouths. It’s so hard to focus on me. One day. I stay as carnivore as I can. I am happiest when I am more carnivore than less.
This may sound weird but I can now see the little tendons in my feet that lead to my toes. I couldn’t before. And I walked right out of my shoes! I’m wondering how these delicate little bones and tendons are carrying this great big body. I just had a hip replacement yesterday and definitely plan to stay on this. I’m doing just fine. I eat one meal a day. If I need something later, I make a protein shake. I did find a carnivore one. If I slip, I think it will be with fruit. I love fruit in season, so with the end of summer, it looks like apples may sneak into my diet soon. We shall see. Keep up the good work everyone!
I did deviate a couple of days when I felt the urge for vegetables. Other days I was strictly carnivore. I will make it a point to eat more protein than I have in the past and limit fruits stay away from carbs and sugar as much as I possibly can as well. I do feel much better when eat like that and also my weight and energy level is what it should be.
After this initial phase of being strict to get back in the groove after the summer, there may be times when I will have a side salad or vegetable if I’m out to eat. Or a bourbon with my porterhouse. But I plan to continue with carnivore as it has become our lifestyle.
Our journey initially started with keto a few years ago but we easily slipped into eating more carbs than we realized. Carnivore makes it easy. Thats definitely a pro.
The only con that comes to mind is how expensive good beef is. But everything today is expensive and hey, this is worth it.
Maybe there are risks? But I believe the benefits (feeling good, maintaining a healthy weight and robust immune system) outweigh the potential risks.
I am still going I have found it easy to be on carnivore. I am diabetic and need to get my self in better Health. I am about six weeks in and at first I lost some weight but then I started putting weight on. I was getting frustrated and then I realized that I am thinner than I was and I think the weight gain is due to adding muscle after 3 1/2 weeks of going slightly up in weight I am now going back down, my wife commented how she can see the difference in my face and neck. Hopefully I will see a big difference in my blood work next month.
Still at it. Cravings are gone. Eating carnivore to satiety, mainly in the confines of BBBE, which I like for its simplicity. Sleep is improving and positive weight loss. Belt moved back a notch this morning.
I have been locked in, good mental clarity, have a lot of energy, and I’m enjoying a healthier way of eating. I prefer to have a small portion of sautéed veggies with my meals. I’m learning that it’s all about moderation and choices. I also prefer to fast and have been doing this for sometime now. I feel the difference when I eat this way and want to continue to reap the positive health benefits.
Letting go of my cheese and dairy is still so hard. I am trying to move to black coffee but it's so hard to drink it this way. Right now we are renovating our kitchen and I think that's also impacting my dependence on dairy/cheese. I cant wait until i have my oven and stove back! Otherwise I think ive been sticking to just meat pretty well. I definitely prefer steak to anything else. its so satieting
