And a question/poll

April One, Twenty Twenty-Three

Every now and then an opportunity arises that you probably never would expect. That happened to me last week and perhaps is why I have not written a Common Sense Health and Wellness substack post in a while.

I am not sure what I will do with the opportunity yet as I am still in the thinking mode, so I thought I would put it out to the universe. I mean, there is no better day than today.

My thinking is that my writing this substack, Common Sense Health and Wellness, I have attracted some attention. FYI- I am definitely not an attention seeker. But when I am offered an opportunity I still will go through the thought processes to decide if the opportunity is something I want to get involved in. I try my best not to reflexly just say yes or no to anything, other than politely declining when offered a kale salad for lunch. This is the same thought process I use when researching new treatment options outside of mainstream traditional medicine.

Is it safe?

Is it effective?

Are there any downsides not previously thought about?

How will it work with what we are presently doing?

Is this temporary or longer term?

Is this just a band aid or something that actually helps to fix a problem closer to its trigger or root cause?

Yes, these questions and more are always going through my head before I ever consider anything, whether it be a medical treatment or a new Carnivore recipe. In some ways, every day life decisions and preventive health decisions are not that different in how I go about decision making.

So here is the opportunity.

I will be asking your opinion soon as to whether you think I should move forward.

I have been offered the “Chief Editor” position with a new research journal that kind of meshes with my thought process. They have just started but are ready to expand and the original Editor does not want the position moving forward.

Here is one of their abstracts.

I assume they have read some of Common Sense Health and Wellness and think I would be a good fit.

So not to belabor this discussion let me get right to the question I have for all of you.
