I saw a conversation on a twitter thread where someone called something “BS” as it related to diet and nutrition.
Another persons response was to call to call the original BS statement as stupid or arrogant.
Thinking about that comment for a bit I responded with:
“Neither stupid nor arrogant. It’s the planned, possibly paid for narrative whether in $$, power or access.”
Maybe I am becoming or am already the old man that I used to call my father and grandfather as I don’t believe much of what anyone or any talking head says anymore.
I think the internet and social media has greatly amplified the amount of misinformation and disinformation for potential gain whether monetary, political power or access to either of the above.
When reading stories, listening to radio or podcasts or watching the news, remember this:
Media sells stories, mostly fiction.
Corporations follow the $$ more than societal needs.
Politicians make promises and follow their campaign contributions more than reality or science.
There are many healthcare professionals including myself who are trying their best to help you improve your health but fear or have been warned/threatened if they speak their minds. Do not believe the government or media narrative about who is spreading misinformation or disinformation. In real life people are stating opinions. It is your job as an individual to decide whose opinion is closest to the truth while trying to determine if there are any motives that strengthen the political narrative, increased power or access.
My suggestions.
Keep your freedoms of thought.
Keep the freedoms of your bodily autonomy.
Keep your freedoms of speech.
Keep your freedoms of congregation.
The way to improve your health is to follow ALL THE SCIENCE, not just the approved science of those who think they are in charge.
