First a thank you to everyone who attended the IMW Group Zoom meeting #6 on Cancer Wednesday at 7PM.
We try to have a Zoom meeting on a Health and Wellness topic each month. This meeting is open to all Common Sense Health and Wellness paid subscribers. So if not already a paid subscriber, please consider it.
Now on to our regularly scheduled Common Sense Health and Wellness post.

There is Smoke.
There is Fire.
Think of these pics as I describe the difference between the traditional healthcare system of thought and the one we use here at the IMW.
Here goes.
Thinking caps on.
Ready.
Go….
If you have untreated High Blood Pressure, you are smoking hot.
If you have untreated Diabetes or Pre-Diabetes, you are smoking hot.
If you have untreated Asthma, you are smoking hot.
If you have untreated Gut issues, you are smoking hot.
That’s enough examples.
Here is the key to this topic.
By “untreated”, I mean not treating the underlying root cause of the High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Pre-Diabetes, Gut issues, etc…..
I will say it again.
By “untreated”, I mean not treating the underlying root cause of the High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Pre-Diabetes, Gut issues, etc…..
The words Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Gut issues are just words that stand for a confluence of signs and symptoms. But those words are NOT the root cause of the illness. Those words are generally just descriptors. They are the signs/markers of the disease process. They are a word/words that “mark” the confluence of signs and symptoms with a name.
Now are you ready???
Do you want to know why I don’t want to be smoking hot?
High Blood pressure readings are “smoke” signals.
High Glucose readings are “smoke” signals.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms are “smoke” signals.
Question:
If you see a fire that is producing smoke and use a fan to blow away the smoke, did you put out the fire?
Answer:
I don’t think so as the fire, or what is the root cause of the smoke is still burning.
So if you are using hypertensive medications but have not changed what causes your high blood pressure, then you are blowing away the smoke. The fire is likely still burning. You are still smoking hot.
As long as the fire is still burning, damage is still occurring in your body, even if your blood pressure is deemed controlled. You are still smoking hot.
This same analogy works for lowering sugars (blood glucose) with medications, taking migraine meds for migraines, taking anti-spasmodics for IBS, etc, etc….
So back to the analogy.
I don’t want to be smoking (the smoke) or hot (the fire).
I want to be just the right temp and balance that works to keep me healthy.
I’d rather be called a well-balanced individual not on any medications, as I have determined my risks and root causes and worked to control the roots.
No roots = No fires
No fires = No smoke
So instead of being smoking hot and on multiple medical treatments that mask the root cause, I’d rather be well balanced and healthy and not in need of a fan to blow away the smoke.
When it comes to my health, I don’t want to be smoking hot.
How bout you???
First of all I’ve never been accused of being “smoking hot “. Lol. But I do like your analogy. I took BP meds for years but I still had HBP. Once I attacked the root cause ( diet and exercise) I’ve been med free and BP is under control. If I get a little laxed in my diet ( and we all do) I start to see a little smoke. Tighten up on the diet and the smoke goes away. Funny how that works.
