It’s time to put your thinking caps on.
Today I will be posting pics/memes that were thought provoking to me.
We are all allowed our own views/thoughts on subject matters. That is called freedom.
We don’t have to agree, but we can and should be able to speak, converse, discuss and debates issues without fear of threats, censorship, financial penalties, etc.
So here goes.
In the comments section let me know if any of the pics got you thinking.
Let’s start with just a nice scenery pic. This was taken last week at Veterans Park in Central New Jersey. Where does that trail lead? I dunno as I didn’t hike it, but often we never know where something leads if we don’t take the adventure opportunity.
Einstein always seemed to have a way with words. Kind of proves that simpler is usually, not always, but usually better.
Hippocrates was no slouch either when it came to quotes.
In Functional medicine we look at and explore the Gut more than traditional medicine. The Gut interacts with so many different systems in your body that it should be respected. This means pay attention to what goes into it!
My dinner Friday night. An 18 oz Rib Eye steak from the Pub in Pennsauken.
Yum Yum!
Makes my Gut very happy!
But not everything makes a Gut happy. I have long discussed how excess carbohydrates, especially high added/processed sugar drinks are not healthy.
I then get asked about juice. Hey it’s fruit so it can’t be bad, right?
Let’s then compare 12 oz of OJ to 12 oz of Coca Cola.
Does this shock anyone??
And NO, don’t switch out your OJ for coca cola. Perhaps reduce or eliminate juice if, and I say if, you are trying to reduce your excess dietary carbohydrates.
Which takes me to the next pic.
Please, I beg of you, and I am not joking, nor being sarcastic here, please do NOT get this ADA guide to Diabetes. The ADA is the American Diabetes Association and somehow they still recommend lots of dietary carbohydrates followed by more diabetes medications to lower your blood sugars. It’s kind of like someone who keeps hitting themselves in the head, gets daily headaches as a result, but then takes pain medication for the headaches. Wouldn’t it be wiser to stop hitting yourself in the head? Or am I being naive?
I don’t know who Charlie Munger is but I like this quote.
Before you decide what to do with your health and wellness, think about what is being offered and why. Do your health and wellness incentives align with the people or industries that are providing it for you?
Is the medical industry truly looking out for your best interests?
Or perhaps more for their bottom line and investors?
It is something we should all think deeply about.
I just saw this one recently.
Looks like the UK govt back in early 2020 was trying to scare/threaten people into following their social distancing measures.
So with a supposed medical emergency, we will not be debating that here, the government used Social science and Political science to sway public opinion in the direction that government wanted.
Perhaps they did not get the memo that the government is supposed to work “for the people” and not the other way around.
Others have called this tactic a PsyOp, or psychological operation which is often used in times of war. I am NOT an expert on this but I put it out there for others to consider, discuss and debate, as long as those discussions/debates are open and honest, no name calling, and everyone can still remain friends. I know, a strange concept nowadays, but I am hopeful that we can return there soon.
I will end with this last meme.
To me the key words are:
RESPECT
and
TRUTH
That being said, do you think today’s political healthcare system respects the freedom to find your own truths to optimize your health? Or do you think they know better how you should live your life, with no questions or concerns allowed?
That’s enough for today.
I hope I have opened up your thought processes a bit.
I am not and never will have a goal to change your mind.
I prefer to have open and free discussions instead and let everyone decide for themselves.
What is that famous quote?
“You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.”
I guess that is the case unless you are the victim of threats, coercions, mandates and perhaps PsyOps.
But you be the judge.
As always comments always welcome.
Gotta go to The Pub again!!!!
Been YEARS!!!!!!🤪🤪🤪
Excellent article thank you. Always trust your gut! 🙂 I trust main stream medicine less than ever before. I love the science of medicine and believe there are many who truly do want to help others. However, the Medical industrial complex and big pharma ain't it! 😉
