TRUTH BOMBS 101
Physicians are not taught Nutrition in medical school. Most nutrition advice given in physician offices is boilerplate advice without much time and research devoted to it. If physicians truly looked at nutrition research and studies with an unbiased scientific logical mind we would have a true healthcare system as opposed to a sick care system.
I so much more enjoy Deprescribing medications as my patients learn how to improve their health and slow their aging process as opposed to prescribing more and more medications while watching the aging process speed up. I greatly enjoy the high fives as we remove medications that are no longer needed.
Nurses provide the real care in hospitals. Be nice and give them the respect they deserve! Remember that they continue to be the true heroes during COVID.
Healthcare politicians, those administrating and making rules for others to follow, are rarely seeing what is happening on the front lines. Instead they are trying to walk a tightrope between third parties and individual patient care. They have a tough job which becomes even tougher when they stray towards making decisions based more on politics than reality. We should always be allowed to question politicians and authority without fear of censorship or bullying.
No one looks at root causes of disease. They just want to throw a pill at a diagnosis code. Be careful where the pill hits you as it might hurt.
Health insurers and administrators, not healthcare workers, pretty much control the care you get within the traditional insurance based healthcare system. If you think they are looking at you as an individual unique person, well then I have a bridge to sell you.
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is getting back to the roots of healthcare between a doctor and a patient that builds a trusting mutually respectful relationship. Wouldn't it be nice for healthcare to be respected again?
Continuing Medical Education is highly industry funded and influenced. They teach everyone how to use their hammer (medication or device) and to see everything as a nail (disease process). BTW- The industry teaches healthcare professionals how to sell their industry hammers. You are the nail to be profited from.
The healthcare system today is mostly captured and controlled by industry and government. If you are unhappy with the system, don't take it out on the healthcare workers. Blame the system that does not allow the workers to do the job they want to do.
The war on cholesterol is wrong. Cholesterol isn’t all it is hyped up to be by mainstream medicine. I encourage you to read up on other viewpoints that are much closer to real life experiences.
Ivor Cummins, Dave Feldman, Nadir Ali, Dave Diamond, Aseem Maholtra.
EBM- Evidenced Based Medicine is often, not always, but often written and followed by industry who has large financial interests. Physicians, the majority of which are now employees of major hospital systems, are being instructed by their employers to follow EBM or else ....., even if EBM does not work for the individual patient.
Physicians made the mistake of giving up control of the healthcare system many decades ago. We can blame physicians for giving up control, but not for the state of the dysfunctional and costly system that we have today. That blame goes to the third parties who get between you and your healthcare professional.
Media spins healthcare stories for advertising click bait and to steer public opinion. Please do not believe what you see and hear from the media. Try and avoid the #FearMongering .
Don't get me started with Big Pharma spinning of their medical studies to amplify benefits while downplaying side effects.
There is more to checking for thyroid dysfunction than just a TSH blood test. Much much more....
I think I will stop for now.

Indeed! As I have been thinking for many years now. It’s all about quick bucks and power (to extract more bucks).
