Who would you choose?
I would like to ask everyone a hypothetical question.
I know, I know.
Hypothetical questions are tough.
Politicians almost always refuse to answer. Let’s be better and not act like politicians. Let's instead think through the following hypothetical scenario and please leave your comments below.
This thought experiment will work best the more people who take part and comment.
Scenario:
You will be stranded on a deserted island for 1-3 months. You know when it will occur as you are involved in the scheduling.
Your goal is not only to survive, but also to leave the island a better, stronger and healthier person, however you choose to define those terms. Medical and psychosocial exams will be conducted prior to being on the island and when you get off the island, if you get off......
You will be on this island with 4 other people of your choosing that you believe gives you the best chance of meeting the intended goal, to not only survive, but also to leave the island a better, stronger and healthier person however you choose to define those terms.

Question:
Which of the following 4 people would you choose to be stranded on the island with you that would help you meet the intended goal?

Pick any 4 you would want with you on the island to work with and help you come out stronger when you leave.
If you want to have some fun, who would you definitely not want on the island? Who would not be helpful while on the island?

Went a bit overboard but here it is:
1. Your spouse - mine would be miserable and that would not be good for the health either of us.
2. Policeman/woman - no need if I am populating with just 4 people of my choosing who would be able to work things out without any outside authority.
3. High school science teacher - if they were knowledgable about edible plants and such
4. Farmer - three months is not enough time to farm for survival. Hunting and gathering would be the means of nourishment.
5. Gilligan - better than #12 and 16
6. The Skipper - ditto
7. Religious clergy - perhaps but only if I could choose a specific person who would nourish and support my spiritual needs.
8. Joe Biden - hell no
9. Bill Gates - ditto
10. Triathlete - a cooperative, not a competitive personality is needed.
11. A physician - again only if I could choose a specific person who I trust to care for my health with a common sense approach
12. Any politician or bureaucrat - Sorry I have to exist on the same planet let alone the same island
13. Social Media Influencer - do not do social media
14. Political/Media Fact Checker - will not be following as that is one of the best things I can do for my well-being
15. Engineer - not needed - protect the environment so it can support me. Live gently off the land.
