You know you do have a choice for your health.

You can listen to and follow the advice of the HealthScare system and become like 80% of adults in our country who have at least one EXCESS METABOLIC health issue.

Or

You can decide to try something a bit different. Let’s call it the IMW WellCare system and you move into the other 20% of healthier people not dependent upon the HealthScare system.

Since I brought up Metabolic health let’s dig in a bit further.

At the Institute for Medical Wellness (IMW) we look at disease processes different from the Traditional HealthScare system especially when it comes to evaluation and treatment.

As an example let's look at your metabolism.

I checked the online dictionaries for definitions of metabolism and preferred this one.

Metabolism:

the sum of the physical and chemical processes by which living organized substance is built up and maintained (anabolism),

and by which large molecules are broken down into smaller molecules to make energy available to the organism (catabolism).

Essentially these processes are concerned with the disposition of the nutrients absorbed into the blood following digestion.

OK- perhaps it's sounds a bit more sciencey/sciency/science’y than I hoped. I really was not sure how to spell that word so take your pic.

Let me try and simplify my point

When we are growing our body we are Anabolic.

When we burn energy for use by our body to keep functioning it is Catabolic.

We need both to function and survive.

The healthiest people keep Anabolic and Catabolic processes in a healthy balance.

Anabolic processes can be the healthy build up of bones, muscles and organs to keep us optimally fit.

Anabolic processes can be the healthy build up of storing excess energy as fat to use in the future when energy is needed.

Anabolic processes can be the EXCESS build up of storing excess energy as fat to use in the future when energy is needed.

Two of the above three are healthy.

One is not.

Can you guess which one is not?

I'll WEIGHT and see.......

So Metabolic Balance is about balancing Anabolic and Catabolic systems.

Healthy Balance tries to avoid both EXCESS and DEFICIENCY states.

A few examples of DEFICIENCY states:

Anorexia (deficient dietary intake and low weight)

Osteoporosis (deficient bone)

Sarcopenia (deficient muscle mass)

Examples of EXCESS METABOLIC states include:

Overweight (excess fat weight)

Obesity (excess fat weight)

Hypertension (excess/elevated blood pressure)

Fatty Liver (excess fat stored in liver)

Prediabetes (excess sugar)

Diabetes (excess sugar)

Cancer (excess abnormal cells often caused by chronic excess sugar/insulin)

Dementia (increased risk caused by chronic excess sugar/insulin) - FYI: A new nickname for Dementia is Type 3 Diabetes. Think about that....

In the HealthScare system they look at each of these EXCESS METABOLIC states as separate and distinct individual chronic irreversible disease processes that requires lifelong pharmaceutical medications to control. Yes I think they actually use that word "control". They don't talk about reversal. But that word "control". Is that a nice word? Big Business loves lifelong repeat customers.

Hmmm. If the disease names are chronic and irreversible without the use of pharmaceutical medications, does that make you a chronic patient of the HealthScare system and Big Pharma? Does that give the HealthScare system and Big Pharma CONTROL over your health?

I can't speak for you but I prefer NOT to be controlled by any outside entity, especially from those that are biased or that benefit from control. I prefer to be in control of my own health destiny. When able I prefer to help you get control of your health destiny as well but it does take some time and work. But once you get it and understand it becomes a natural way of life that you won’t want to give up.
