I was at a local independent pharmacy recently where I know the pharmacists. We always end up gabbing for a bit. We got to talking about how so many prescription medications are on back order and unavailable. There are probably many reasons for this but I prefer not to discuss them here.
Besides shortages of many medications how about all the other reasons medications are becoming an issue.
Price gouging by Big Pharma.
An FDA that works for Big Pharma instead of the public.
Insurance plan restrictions on medications that you know by other names such as formularies, pre-certifications and pre-authorizations.
Restrictions as to where you can get your medications.
I am sure there are more examples but I prefer not to write them all out here. What is already known is enough to make anyone sick.
So I guess I should stop complaining and instead look for solutions.
I alone am not going to be able to get insurance plans to come to their senses and stop restricting medications all to save a buck.
I alone am not able to get the FDA to actually do their job independently and put people first ahead of Big Pharma.
I alone can not change the way Big Pharma goes about their business.
Butt, you know what I can do.
I can hopefully help you understand why you are on medications.
I can hopefully help you understand the root causes/triggers of your medical conditions.
I can hopefully help you understand how to safely reduce or eliminate medications you are using.
I can hopefully help you understand how to live your life in a way that keeps you healthy WITHOUT the need for medications.
Please don’t get me wrong.
I am NOT against medications.
I just think many of us have been led to believe that medications fix our health issues as opposed to just masking them.
Wouldn’t you rather fix the problems and not need medications?
Question for ya?
Who do think is healthier?
A- Andy is 45 years old with a blood pressure of 120/80 and he takes 2 different blood pressure pills.
or
B- Bruce is 45 years old with a blood pressure of 120/80 and he is not on any blood pressure pills.
I hope you think Bruce is healthier as he has healthy blood pressure without the need for medications.
Let’s say for a moment that there is a shortage of blood pressure medications. Unfortunately that can not be ruled out in the future.
Who is in a better place, Andy or Bruce?
Again, I hope you see that Bruce is in a better position.
I just believe it is common sense to be able to live your life without relying on a pharmaceutical company to tell you that you are healthy.
I believe we need to start taking individual responsibility for our health.
You have a choice.
If the present devolution of our healthcare system is any indication, we better start taking responsibility now.
One of my goals at the Institute for Medical Wellness is to help you learn how to be a healthier you and not be reliant on anyone or anything for your health. You need to be your own health guru. You need to assemble your own health and wellness team so you do not need the traditional healthscare system in your day to day life.
How do we do this?
We show you how your present diet and lifestyle is impacting your health and wellness. We show you how to improve your health and as you do this, we show you how to safely reduce/wean or even eliminate many medications.
Life is less stressful when we are self reliant.
Please.
I do not want anyone to go and stop their medications or treatments. Discuss first with your own healthcare professional that you trust. But I do want you to think about what true health and wellness is.
Me.
I don’t think true health and wellness is governed or defined by politicians, Big Pharma, Health Insurers, Big Tech, or and especially the propagandized media.
We need a way to reduce their influence on our health and wellness.
I have an idea!
Let’s use a new but actually old tactic.
Block-em.
If you don’t understand the above pic then you are too young.
You need to take control of your health away from those who are trying to control you.
That’s the point.
Good health does NOT need to be treated by the healthscare system.
Let us instead each build our own health and wellness.
It’s really not that difficult if you just know who to ignore and who to interact with.
One last thing.
If you do need medications, please avoid the Big Box stores and support your local independent pharmacies instead.
RFK JR Is running for Pres. It seems to me his outlook is consistent with Dr. Horvitz. Rise up!
As much as I would like to put all the blame on physicians who only mask symptoms with Big Pharma patches, however there must also be willing patients looking for an easy fix, instead of systemic lifestyle changes. In the end, the drug manufacturers and dealers need willing users….
