My Challenge at the IMW

We will soon be starting the 2023 IMW Summer Health Challenge. Start date is set for July 5, 2023.

Summers are so colorful.

The Challenge will revolve around different aspects of health and wellness. Our goal is to help you understand how your body works so you can make changes to improve your health.

There will be many Challenges taking place here on Common Sense Health and Wellness over the Summer and thank you to everyone who is choosing to participate. The only requirement to participate is to join the Challenge by upgrading to a paid subscription to Common Sense Health and Wellness.

So while I will be Challenging all of you, I have my own professional challenge. My professional challenge is to help create a better healthcare system that actually works for each and every person uniquely.

My professional challenge is to help you learn how to be a healthier you with LESS interaction with the Traditional healthcare system.

My professional challenge is to help you get healthier with less need for pharmaceuticals.

If we observed anything over the past three years, it is that our present healthcare system is imploding and on an unsustainable path. We need to change that, improve and regain the trust, while at the same time creating a new system that works for all of us as individuals. No two of us are the same. So how bout we all forge our own path to improved health with less need to be bothered by the present health system dysfunction.

Here is my Pre-Challenge to you.

If you want more control of your health and less interaction with the Dysfunctional Traditional Healthcare System, then how bout we work on true individualized health and wellness where you learn how your body works and how to rebalance the issues that are not allowing you to be as healthy as you would like?

When you learn root causes and triggers of your health issues, then you can plan how to combat and even reverse many of these issues. Unfortunately our traditional system funded and controlled by government and Big Pharma seem to just want to keep you in their dysfunctional system of being:

1- labeled with a diagnosis such as High Blood Pressure, Pre-Diabetes, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, etc

2- prescribed a medication, or many as the list always seems to get longer as you age.

3- told your condition is chronic and irreversible and that you will need treatment for life. Treatment for life keeps the $$ flowing into the system and you are forever captured. Your health freedoms have vanished.

The above 3 elements sustains forever profits for Big Pharma and others in the healthcare industry at your financial expense as well as overall health, but never cures your conditions.

A cure is not continued use of pharmaceutical medications. Does an umbrella stop the rain from falling?

It does not have to be that way.

At the IMW we have different beliefs.

1-  We believe in helping people and treating them as individuals, not as diagnosis codes or insurance covered lives.

2- We believe most medical illness is caused by an imbalance in one or many systems of the body and that learning how to rebalance these systems naturally can help reverse many/most chronic illness. These major systems include your Metabolism, Nutrition, Gut, Hormones, Immune and Inflammatory, just to name a few.

3- We are not against medication. We just prefer medication that fixes the root cause of the illness and not just use medication as a perpetual band aid where we don’t see that we are still bleeding.

4- We believe many/most of the major chronic illnesses we see today are diet and lifestyle related where how we live our life is a mismatch with our genetics. Adjustments to diet/lifestyle can reverse many of these issues and enable you to safely come off of prescription medications.

Examples of diet/lifestyle health issues include: Overweight, Obesity, High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol (not really a health issue), IBS, GERD, Migraines, Autoimmune illness, cognitive issues and early dementia, heart disease and strokes, and even cancers.

5- Learn how to NOT be a pawn of the Dysfunctional Traditional Healthcare System. A true healthcare system should work for you. Yet it seems that we are working for the system we are living in today. That shouldn’t be!

At the IMW we believe there is a cause for everything and we search to find it, if we don’t already know. We aim to treat the cause not the symptoms.

Sooo, finally, my major Challenge to you this Summer is to join me in helping you to improve your health by learning how to find root causes of illness and if found start a program to reverse those causes and safely wean off of medications.

Let’s work together to improve your overall health and lessen your need for the Dysfunctional Traditional Healthcare System.

P.S. - There are many aspects of our healthcare system that truly are the best in the world. My challenge is not with the Acute urgent/emergent care, surgeries and intensive care. My issue is with what the Traditional system labels preventive care as well as chronic illness. Their version of preventive care is really just spending lots of time on testing so they can put you on band aid medications. Chronic illness to them is something to be solved with pharmaceutical band aids as opposed to finding the root cause and eliminating it. Chronic illness to them is a perpetual scheme.

At the IMW, we want to help you remove the band aid and truly heal the wound so no chronic treatment is necessary other than a healthy diet and lifestyle that better matches your daily environment. Then you get to live your life without all the doctor and pharmacy visits. Wouldn’t that be nice?
