I’ve seen these words thrown around quite a bit recently and decided to look into it a bit with regards to Common Sense Health and Wellness. So I put together some recent articles I’ve come across and have shared them below.
It seems like the gap between parody, real and dystopian are decreasing where it is getting tough to know what is real and what is Memorex, oops I mean what is real and what is parody. Did that Memorex pun just show my age??
See if you can pick out from the stories below, which are Real and which are Parody and which might be moving towards dystopian….
I guess if you fell asleep with a large screen TV on top of you …….
Real or Parody??
So heart problems in elite athletes in their prime are more likely due to loud whistles than possibly from a genetic medical treatment? I actually thought they were going to say heart attacks occurred if an athlete choked on a whistle, but that’s not what they wrote.
Real or Parody??
A sudden gush of water now makes the list of risk factors for heart attacks, in healthy people. So unhealthy people are not affected??
Hmmm….
Perhaps we should all stop showering??
Real or Parody??
Perhaps if you decide to nap on train tracks?
Real or Parody??
So far napping too much, falling asleep with the TV on, loud whistles and cold water showers can cause you harm?
But wait, there is more!!
Oh boy Oh boy!
This one was from awhile ago. It was REAL back when it was published.
Would it be considered Parody today?
Sorry, this one was just for fun
Facts Matter but who gets to decide what is fact, what is theory and what is gaslighting?
I graduated medical school back in 1991.
I have been in practice for almost 30 years.
I have never heard of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome before this year.
Real or Parody?
In the past I have written that the Health news we get from mainstream news sources are called stories, because they are mostly fiction.
Fiction: The category of literature, drama, film, or other creative work whose content is imagined and is not necessarily based on fact.
So we have quite a few words and definitions that are kind of getting blurred in todays society.
It is not helpful when the bureaucrats in charge keep changing health related definitions on a whim. Isn’t it wonderful when bureaucrats and suits decide to define health and wellness? I mean, start working for government and you become an instant expert in all things health and wellness, right??
Oops, maybe a bit too sarcastic.
But a little sarcasm never hurt anyone…………………
I guess I need to get my affairs in order??
Or is this a parody as well???
Wait just a minute.
Haven’t we been told for the past 1+ years the opposite??
The above must be a parody??
But from the esteemed New England Journal of Medicine???
The line between real and parody are blurring….
So let’s give Paxlovid to everyone for a viral strain that has the mortality rate below influenza, perhaps slightly higher than the common cold for people who were high risk to begin with.
Never been studied in COVID vaccinated……….
Hmmm…………
Parody ?
Dystopian?
Fiction?
Well, that was fun.
I can’t wait to see what y’all believe are parody, real or dystopian in the comments.
You can have multiple answers for each pic.
So have fun and let me know………………
Parody or Real
The "cigarettes don't cause lung cancer" sentiment is as real as ever, that article perfectly demonstrates the power of printing newspaper articles for people to eat up and reminds us how well media/marketing/political lobbying has worked out for other certain special interest groups these past few years.
Reality left the building a long time ago. Plain and simple, it’s been 2.5 years of endless lies and gaslighting from legacy media, big tech, Pharma, government, health agencies, academia and the medical industry. No parody at all, who’s laughing??? What makes it an utter dystopia is that the majority wilfully believe it…Nice knowing you society….
