I like to say,
“Be Real”
“Be Genuine”
“Don’t be a phony”
Unfortunately in today’s world, especially with healthcare I need to remind myself of these beliefs all the time.
So here are some other thoughts about healthcare which can probably be about many other areas of life as well.
Always strive to keep learning, especially of things you may not agree with. You may learn some things that change your mind, and that’s OK.
Don’t be stubborn.
Ego is the enemy.
Trust needs to be earned. Always ask questions and require proof. Blind faith rarely moves you in the proper direction.
The degree or title of an individual does not give them a pass on answering questions or being required to show proof.
Ask questions respectfully. Look out for bias. If they can’t answer or give you proof, well…..
A funny video on THE SCIENCE from Down Under.
You are allowed to question, disagree and remain friends and colleagues.
You are allowed to change your mind especially when newer facts/clues arrive.
Avoid peer pressure, perceived threats and coercion.
Cancel culture is toxic to society
If it sounds too good to be true.....
Learning is a continual process and should never stop. No one person, organization, faction, political party knows everything.
To disprove a theory it only takes one instance. The next step is to start questioning past instances to see if your original thoughts, things you always believed to be true, remain true, or do they need to be questioned/improved/enhanced?
“The test of all knowledge is experiment.” ---- Richard Feynman
"If the theory disagrees with the experiment, it's wrong. In that simple statement is the key to science." -- Richard Feynman
Let it happen, don’t make it happen- meaning don’t force the issue.
The truth does not need force to move forward. If it is forced or mandated by those with power over you, it is probably more for their benefit than yours.
Dr. Birx - one of the earlier COVID consultants back in 2020 wrote a book. She was ‘an expert”. I think you may be surprised to find out just how much of an expert she was as opposed to a bureaucrat trying to sway public opinion. https://brownstone.org/articles/dr-birx-praises-herself-while-revealing-ignorance-treachery-and-deceit/
Let’s now shift more to the practice of Common Sense Health and Wellness:
Medical school laid the foundation, but daily practice is where you truly learn how to be a doctor.
Healthcare professionals need to keep their minds open and avoid becoming robot lemmings following biased third party protocols that lack true proof.
Healthcare professionals need to remove themselves from being pressured, threatened or coerced into using treatment protocols that lack true proof.
Be yourself, genuine and real
When making decisions use this order of thinking/reasoning.
1- Is it safe?
2- Is it healthy?
3- Does it make you happy?
Now think back of the medical advice you may have been given or decisions you made with regard to your health in the past.
Some of your decisions have worked out.
Others maybe not so much.
So don’t ever be afraid to question present and past to improve your individual health.
While reading today to help move my brain towards things to write about, I came across more of what others are saying. You may not be aware of some of what is being said if you get most of your news from the media.
If you hear, watch or read something in the media, please realize they are most likely talking points to steer public opinion. They are rarely facts, but more often "stories" that you would normally find in the "fiction" section of your library or book store.
Now for some of what is being said and not yet censored on Twitter. Heard around the world everywhere but in the fictional mainstream news.

@BethanyCherisseImagine saying that after two years of masking, two years of lockdowns, and four vaccines, 'this isn't over yet' and we are 'more at risk than ever' and we need to mask up and bring back restrictions, then still trying to argue that masks, lockdowns and vaccines, actually work.

@_MommyIsALawyerBreaking News: You can tell someone they are wrong without using personal insults.
Let me end with an infographic I found on twitter that the author wants shared far and wide. So I obliged.
Chronic Insulin Resistance is harmful to your health. Take a close look at that tree.
Insulin Resistance is actually pretty easy to reverse if you choose to.
At the Institute for Medical Wellness (IMW), we help reduce Insulin Resistance every day.
This was a different type of newsletter. If you are reading this then congratulations, you got the end. I hope it made you think more about your health and wellness.
As always comments and questions welcome.
"The Science" used to say the "world was flat". Look how long it took for that to change!
Good article. Thank you for writing it.
