Introducing Genetic Testing at the IMW
Your unique Genetic Blueprint
In my last post, I introduced Genetic testing at the IMW.
I was asked to provide further information so here goes.
The Genetics company I have recently chosen to utilize at the IMW is IntellxDNA.
In my travels thru many conferences over the past few years, this company impressed me the most. While there are many companies selling genetic testing, IntellxDNA most aligns with the root cause systems based approach that the IMW practices each and every day.
While there is a financial investment associated with this testing, what I like about IntellxDNA is that they do NOT share or sell your data. Also, this testing can be thought of as a one-time cost/investment because as far as I know and have always been told, your genetics are your genetics and they do not change.
What can change is the expression of your genetics, meaning, are they working for you or against you.
What do I believe affects the expression of your genetics??
Your diet, lifestyle and environmental burdens that you have practiced and accumulated throughout your life. Here is the good thing. While you can not change your genetics, you can alter your diet, lifestyle and interaction with your environment based on the knowledge gained from your unique genetics.
IntellxDNA provides 3 different report options from your testing. You can choose an individual report or opt for combination reports, dependent upon your needs. You can see the panels included within each report below.
1- Medical Overview Report- this is a good panel for just about any adult as it hits the most common adult health issues along with some Gut, Detox and vitamin genes.
2- Brain Optimization report - this is a good panel for anyone concerned about their brain health, as well as if you are looking to improve your brain health while slowing down brain aging.
3- Mental Wellness Report - this is a good panel if you have been dealing with any mental health issues such as those in the pic below.
The ASD/PANDAS portion of the above pic is actually an add-on to the Mental Wellness and has another small fee associated.
They also have combination panels of any of the above including The Works which includes all of them, except the ASD/PANDAS panel.
My hope is that evaluating your genetic blueprint will further enhance our ability to provide focused individualized precision care for you today with this testing as well as in the future, as the research into interpreting genes effects on our health is greatly increasing. This means something we learn about you today with gene testing may help you further a year from now or 5 years from now as new research is discovered.
You only need to do this testing once. The results will never change, but the information and guidance as we learn more may. That is what I call preventive care focused on you!

Just a question: while I understand that they would agree not to disseminate it, would the company retain any rights to a client's DNA information?
Does the company interpret the results or do you learn how to do that through the company?
