When I think of education, in my mind it is about learning how to critically think in an unbiased manner. It means learning how to problem solve. It means no political, religious or $$ signs clouding thoughts and judgement. It means basing my learning and actions on true life events/results, not fake narratives. It means living in reality.
So what is going on in Higher Education these days?
Let’s look at Tufts University.
I will discuss a few recent headlines from Tufts and let you decide whether Tufts is using critical thinking skills devoid of bias in Higher Education.
But first a thought.
Does the “Higher” in “Higher” Education have more to do with legalization of cannabis than developing critical thinking skills?
Maybe the powers that be in Higher Education have all graduated from Cheech and Chong University?
Dean Cheech and Dean Chong?
Again, they may give a new meaning to the term “higher” education.
So what did Tuft’s recently do that piqued my interest?
Tufts University has ended its mandatory Bivalent COVID jab policy. In other words they no longer require incoming students to receive the new “Bivalent COVID jab”. Sounds like a winner to me. Let each person decide whether the jab is right for them WITHOUT threats, mandates, pressure, or coercion.
Butt, and there is always a BUTT in the news,
especially in higher education, Tufts University is still requiring the original COVID mRNA jabs. So Tufts is still requiring a set of mRNA jabs for a viral strain of COVID that is extinct and no longer circulating anywhere in the world except possibly in some Top Secret Biolab facility somewhere.
Would you wear a seatbelt while sitting still on your couch watching the propaganda tube, umm, I mean mainstream news media? If not why not? Probably because you are not at risk of injury while sitting on your couch just like you are no longer at risk from the COVID strains of which a close copy of its mRNA is in the original COVID mRNA jabs.
So is Higher Education using critical thinking with respect to mandating COVID jabs for a young healthy population at very very very low risk of COVID Hospitalizations? I’m just asking a question and trying to allow you to have a fuller informed consent. You get to decide, but please make your decisions based on unbiased critical thinking and not hopes and dreams.
Not to pick on Tufts but it’s just too easy today.
They came out with new food and nutrition guidelines recently. I actually do not have the full guidelines as I prefer not to pay $$ for what appears to me at least to be biased drivel, but don’t let me sway you. Look for yourself and tell me what you think.
Somehow canned peaches, Cheerios, chocolate covered almonds, orange juice with calcium, sweet potato fries and chips, Lucky Charms and grape juice are all somehow healthier for you to eat than pretty much what our ancestors have been eating forever, that being eggs, butter, cheese and beef.
I think I have a plan that would work better than Tufts recommendations.
But truly, are they trying to make/keep us sick and feeble?
Is this on purpose or are they smoking the same stuff that those who chose to keep mRNA mandate jabs in place have been smoking? Here they are again in case you forgot. Dean Cheech and Dean Chong.
I truly want to know a few things when I think about bias in “higher” education.
1- Who funded the research to study and produce their nutrition recommendations? Any chance it could be Big Food corporations? Any chance that could have swayed their recommendations?
2- How much government funding “with strings attached” do they receive?
3- How captured are they by $$ from government and industry?
4- What algorithm did they use to come up with their nutrition guidance? I will assume anything carbohydrate was good while anything with fat was bad? I guess they didn’t get the memo that natural dietary fats are healthy and do not cause all the disease processes they think they do. Perhaps they need to learn a bit about Insulin resistance brought on by excess dietary carbohydrates and fake fats and their link to a whole host of metabolic disease processes such as Overweight, Obesity, High Blood Pressure, Fatty Liver, Diabetes, Heart Disease and Cancer.
Honestly though I don’t think anything will change until all the $$ and government/political/corporate strings/collusion gets out of your healthcare and educational systems.
What are your views on higher education?
What was your favorite Cheech and Chong movie?
Do you believe they improve or add to your common sense health and wellness?
I believe that you hit the nail on the head with the last sentence of your post. As long as the government has its hands/$$$/control in it, it’s not going to change. More people (doctors) like yourself have to spread the word. And keep spreading it. People need to think and make better decisions and choices for themselves. Now, as far as my favorite Cheech and Chong movie... Up in Smoke for sure! And yes it has bettered my health and wellness because laughter is great medicine. “Hey man, I’m I driving OK?”
The number one problem is that they mandate vaccines. No, the individual gets to make that decision. It’s their natural born right to bodily autonomy. No entity can demand that.
I don’t like the argument that the shots shouldn’t be required because they’re harmful or ineffective. That should be completely irrelevant.
We are born free.
