Common Sense
If something is truly working, continue it.
If it’s not, think thru it some more and make some safe changes.
It’s not about proving yourself right.
It’s about getting right
Do you continue to drive somewhere in the same direction even if you are lost, but too stubborn to stop, get your bearings, ask directions and then move in a new direction?
I hope not.
If your health has required many sick visits to medical professionals with the result being tests FOLLOWED by PHARMACEUTICAL after PHARMACEUTICAL, do you think you are driving in the right direction?
Would you prefer to get new directions where, perhaps by chance you not only do not get lost, but you do more along the way?
I know my answer.
What is yours?
Things are only complicated until they are not.
We have now entered the last 10 days of the March 2022 Intermittent Fasting portion of the #IMWChallenge .
By now I hope you have tried out Intermittent Fasting and hopefully have seen some improvements in your health. These last10 days are to push it safely a bit further, just to see not only what you are capable of, but also how you feel when you take it to the next level.
How many of you are ready for a 24 hour fast?
My Intermittent Fasting journey works this way for me.
Most days I do an 18:6 with my eating window between 1PM and 7PM and my fasting window between 7PM and 1PM the next day.
However on Tuesdays I set my schedule to work thru lunch. I do this on purpose as I make Tuesday the day I do a 24 hour fast. Interesting thing is that since I am busy working and distracted I do not think much about food. I feel clearer and more energetic. I would like to eat once a day more often but the world and life responsibilities sometimes get in the way, so more planning is necessary.
How many of you regularly schedule in a 24 hour or longer fast?
Do you distract yourself from eating and food in some unique way?
How bout letting us know in the comment sections.
The Golden Rule

People think they can’t change themselves, but they can. People think they can change others, but they can’t.
I’ll end with a favorite topic of mine.
Should we use statin drugs to lower cholesterol in an attempt to lower heart disease risk?

Evaluating the Association Between Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Reduction and Relative and Absolute Effects of Statin Treatment
Or I can summarize below- straight from the abstract.
Key Points
Question What is the association between statin-induced reductions in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and the absolute and relative reductions in individual clinical outcomes, such as all-cause mortality, myocardial infarction, or stroke?
Findings In this meta-analysis of 21 randomized clinical trials in primary and secondary prevention that examined the efficacy of statins in reducing total mortality and cardiovascular outcomes, there was significant heterogeneity but also reductions in the absolute risk of 0.8% for all-cause mortality, 1.3% for myocardial infarction, and 0.4% for stroke in those randomized to treatment with statins compared with control, with relative risk reductions of 9%, 29%, and 14%, respectively. A meta-regression was inconclusive regarding the association between the magnitude of statin-induced LDL-C reduction and all-cause mortality, myocardial infarction, or stroke.
Meaning: The study results suggest that the absolute benefits of statins are modest, may not be strongly mediated through the degree of LDL-C reduction, and should be communicated to patients as part of informed clinical decision-making as well as to inform clinical guidelines and policy.
Hmmmm….
Where have you heard this before?????

Dr. H, Not sure if you posted about increases in LDL due to animal based foods, and whether it’s something to worry about before. If not, it might be something to consider. I think this fear, might unfortunately keep some people from adding some animal products to their diet.

By the way, this is what it looks like when actual science is replaced by political “science”….
The American Academy of Pediatrics called the recommendation “irresponsible.” The Infectious Diseases Society of America accused Dr. Ladapo of putting “politics over the health and safety of children.” White House press secretary Jen Psaki jabbed: “It’s deeply disturbing that there are politicians peddling conspiracy theories out there and casting doubt on vaccinations.”
