Fear
Definition of Fear
an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.
Fear is a normal emotion, especially when whatever is causing the fear is either unknown or out of our control.
99% of adults are fearful of something about their health. The remaining 1% of adults are lying.
Anyone who says they are not afraid of anything is doubtfully being honest.
So fear often makes us do things we wouldn’t normally do.
Why am I writing about this on Common Sense Health and Wellness?
It’s because to remain healthy, we need to NOT allow fear to be a part of our medical or health and wellness decision making.
Example:
Don’t take a medicine because you are afraid without it bad things will happen. Instead, find out whether those things you are fearful of have any chance of occurring and also what else you can safely do to prevent it.
In other words, do your homework. There are always options and choices. Don’t pick a side. Use your thinking cap without bias. Don’t make health and wellness decisions out of fear. Make a truly informed medical decision.
The medicine may be what you need. But that is a decision to make NOT out of fear.
At the Institute for Medical Wellness (IMW), I am here to help you think thru these health and wellness fears and give you many options to lessen those risks and fears.
Remember
I am NOT anti medicine.
I am NOT anti-anything.
I would say I am more pro-Options/Choices, pro-Thinking Cap.
I am more pro- put on your thinking cap to figure out what is happening and why it is happening to help you get to your root cause. Then you can decide what to do. It’s always your decision and fear should not enter your decision making brain. BTW you should also never let peer pressure, coercion or mandates make a health and wellness decision for you either. What you do for your health is your own decision, not your bosses, neighbors, coworkers or government.
That being said…..
If we learned anything over the past 4 years, fear made many of us do things we normally wouldn’t have.
We need to learn from the mistakes of the past 4 years.
We need to not let that happen again.
One way to prevent this from reoccurring is to turn off mainstream news. Most of mainstream news is clickbait and propaganda, usually written and paid for by advertising sponsors. In other words, too much bias, and usually to get you to buy something or move you towards their desired goal.
Don’t fall for it.
Some people ask how I write so many Common Sense Health and Wellness posts. Well since I no longer watch the news or sports on tv (I can’t stand the sports announcers or the advertisers/commercials), I have so much more free time to devote to things I like.
I’d also suggest you don’t believe much of what you hear on alternative news channels as they can be just as biased.
Ask questions.
Ask them politely.
Ask for proof.
Ask others who don’t believe what is being said and why. Maybe the dissenters are FOS as well.
You get to decide.
So in general.
Don’t let worry, fear, anxiety or panic make health and wellness decisions for you. Don’t believe that those you consult within the medical profession are authority figures who can control what you do. I am in the medical profession. I do NOT control what you do. I give you options and explanations for you to choose from. I am then there to help guide you on your choice of healthy paths.
Soooo…
Use your head.
Otherwise, there is a good chance you will fall for whatever the next thing is they want you to believe, that may not be real.
I will end with some examples.
You can agree or not.
That is always your choice.

Sage, sound advice.
Love the memes!! Can’t even choose just one as a favorite.
I agree about people needing to think for themselves after getting all pertinent information. But sometimes the fear takes over when it comes to our own personal health (not the health the government tries to tell us to be afraid of and how to handle it) l, and we may need someone more knowledgeable to prod us in the right direction. Or just tell us what to do. lol. This is just what I’ve heard…from a friend, of course. 😂
