Soooooooooooo…..
For the holidays, some nice person sent to my wife a nice box of pears. I forget where they came from but they are delicious. I eat some plant food, usually much less than 1/4 of my total plate, but with about 15 pears in my fridge, and no one else in my family eating them, well……, I hate to waste food, soooooooooo… I have been eating one a day for a bit.
Here is the issue.
When I eat fruit, especially sweet fruit like pears, it both increases my appetite as well as makes me gain weight. I am up a few pounds from before the “Adventure in Pears”, and it is almost time to reverse course. But I have a few days more of pears remaining sooooooo…………..
I do best on reversing course back to my mostly Carnivorous diet by setting up a challenge. Challenges help me keep my focus and avoids common distractions.
So my challenge is set to begin on Monday January 17, 2022
It will go like this.
I will be eating only meat, chicken, fish, eggs for a minimum of 1 week to as far as I feel like taking it:
Goals:
1- Take off the few extra Pear Adventure pounds
2- Get back to feeling 100% as opposed to 90%. 90% ain’t bad but why settle?
I will use butter and olive oil as well non-caloric seasonings/spices.
Unsweetened tea and coffee are fine.
I will greatly limit dairy, especially cheese as that is one of my food cravings that I need to get a better handle on.
I will be monitoring my weights daily in AM.
I will be monitoring any other health symptom that I notice.
I will do my best to post my meals either here, on twitter, and/or on Instagram. I can be found at both places @IMWHorvitz
But challenges are even more fun when others join in. Not for the competition but more for the friendliness and morale.
So let me know if you are up for the challenge in the comments.
We can discuss in further posts about all the good and perhaps not so good that comes from the Carnivorish challenge.
