In all places??
Australia.
The Land Down Under.
Home of Crocodile Dundee.
I really enjoyed the first Dundee movie but not necessarily the sequel.
Below is an article on the changing COVID vax recommendations in Australia.
https://thecountersignal.com/australian-government-says-vaccine-risk-too-high-for-people-under-30/
This is Australia, that over the past few years has had some of the strictest COVID vaccination requirements in the world, as well as limiting who can enter or leave the country, i.e. Novak Djokovic.
Now, apparently they will NO LONGER be recommending the COVID vax for people under 30 years of age. I think Djokovic is over 30, but I think they are allowing him into the country for the Australian Tennis Open this year. It will be interesting to see the reception he gets from Australians.
Read the above link for why Australia may be changing their guidance.
This brings up a whole lot more to think about. Time to dig deeper and get to the root by asking questions. So here goes.
Thought process goes like this:
Ok that is good to hear, less mandates. The best version though would be NO MANDATES, but instead make the vaccines available to those who want them, after a proper discussion and debate about their safety and efficacy. Carrots work better then sticks, eh matey??
But we still have an issue here in the USA. Many colleges/universities are mandating the COVID vaccine/boosters for enrollment. Last I checked the super duper majority of college/university students are under age 30. Does Australia know something we do not?
I think this brings up the question of who should be in charge of their health decisions?
Should it be a physician or other healthcare professional?
Should it be government politicians and bureaucrats?
Should it be Big Pharma?
Should it be your health insurer?
Should it be College/University Presidents/Deans?
Should it be Hospital administrators?
Should it be employers?
Should it be School Boards/Principals/Superintendents of your school system?
Should it be up to each individual to decide for themself?
We have a problem in healthcare which has been taken over by third parties, government, and industry who honestly do not put your health priorities first. They see only the forest and mostly their favorite trees. What they don’t see is that each individual tree is unique and has different needs. So should third parties who only see the forest be in charge of your healthcare decisions? I am asking you as a an individual tree, with a great root system.
What if we find out down the road that the COVID vaccines potentially harmed people, but we were mandated by government to get them to take part in society? Would that be a good outcome?
I truly truly really really hope hope none of this occurs.
As I have said for a few years now, I hope my concerns do not become reality. Life would truly be easier if experts truly were experts and not just opinion makers.
That being said, should we be mandating medical treatments without really knowing their short, mid and long term effects, both good and bad?
Thought process shutting down for now.
Time to get you thinking.
A penny for your thoughts in the comments section.
Although it is good to discuss issues, it is even better to take a stand for what you believe in. We can talk all day, but who is going to be the one to stand against this, and say how wrong it is to invade on human rights of being able to make decisions for themselves without penalty?
