Sooo, all my Carnivore Chalengees …..
We have focused on diet and nutrition during this challenge, but let’s think a bit deeper for a moment, if we can.
I believe Carnivore is more of a lifestyle. Lifestyle is more than diet alone.
Some other aspects of health correlated with Carnivore may include:
Better sleep by matching sleep cycle to day/night cycle, i.e. Circadian Rhythms
More activity and exercise. I don’t believe our ancestors say around waiting for someone to provide their next meal.
Was Uber Eats around back then? I’ll have to ask Siri and Alexa….
Me thinks our ancestors were more physically active than many of us today.
One more important difference between our ancestors and us.
More sun exposure. Yep I said more sun exposure not less. I don’t remember seeing archaeological digs finding Coppertone or Zinc Oxide creams.
I could discuss now many of the benefits of sun exposure other than just Vitamin D, but I came across another substack author who did a great job and I will link it below.
Read the title of his post.
Risk of death DOUBLED with LOWEST SUN EXPOSURE
If you didn’t click the link I urge you to do so. At the IMW, the I stands for Institute, which to me means a place to learn. You can’t learn as much if you don’t read others writings. You don’t have to agree, but you should be open to reading. You should be open to CHALLENGE your health and wellness beliefs.
Don’t stick your head in the sand.
So take a few minutes, read the above link, and then we can discuss in the comments below.
But before the comments, check out some of my recent Carnivore meals.
You can share pics and recipes of your favorite Carnivore meals in the IMW Substack Chat room. You can access the chat by clicking the Join Chat button below.
I have been saying that the fact that I spend a great deal of time outdoors, in all seasons, is responsible for keeping me relatively healthy. I usually attribute that fact to the air but the fact that I also don’t use sunscreen or wear protective clothing could very well be a contributing factor. Either way, so far so good!
Great article. I go to Florida for 6 months of the year and everyone is outdoor especially in the winter months and even though it’s an older population they definitely healthier than the same age group up here. I stopped using any sunscreen for short sun exposure
Ike 30- 90 minutes. If I’m at the beach or pool for the day then only natural sunscreen like sky and soil which I love.
