I’ve always found that preplanning for contingencies decreases stress and usually improves outcomes, if you think things through properly and have enough correct data.
In other words, nothing hidden.
Everything transparent.
Everything on the table.
All questions asked.
All questions answered.
Since that does not appear to be the scientific world today, we have to do our best thinking through things on our own. Trust but verify before implementing a plan.
As long term research has not yet been completed about all things COVID, transparency and contingency planning are necessary.
Since COVID is still front and center, I urge you to be prepared as we enter the Fall and Winter months when respiratory viruses tend to increasingly circulate.
The upswing in viral respiratory issues usually follows the above pattern. If it follows suit, we are at a low point in viral activity. So let’s get prepared, just in case.
I will not write about prescription medications today. Instead I will focus on preparation for a potential increase in COVID cases to come as we leave Summer and enter the colder months. Hopefully we prepare for naught, and COVID decides to go away. But it is not looking that way, yet.
COVID will eventually go away. Unfortunately it is looking like this will happen only after enough people contract COVID, clear it, and develop long term, possibly life long immunity which then can contribute to true herd immunity, with the definition used prior to COVID.
We are not there yet and the COVID vaccines by themselves have not moved us there either. If the COVID vaccines did provide true herd immunity we would not be seeing repeat COVID waves in both the vaccinated and unvaccinated as both are capable of getting and spreading COVID. The continued spread of COVID is NOT due to the unvaccinated. A virus will do what it always does. It will spread until it can no longer find any hosts. The present COVID vaccines do not stop the spread nor prevent infection. The boosters are the same as the original vaccine so I doubt they are the answer either. But this is not a newsletter about the vaccinated or unvaccinated. As already mentioned both are at risk for COVID this upcoming cold weather season, unless they are part of the herd as they already had and recovered from COVID. If they are contributing to herd immunity, their risks are very small.
IMPORTANT
I don’t want people to get COVID.
I don’t want people to risk getting severely ill or worse.
COVID can be very dangerous, especially so for high risk people. What we need is for everyone to be prepared.
We need to optimize our present health and ability to withstand COVID by getting our metabolic, immune and inflammatory systems fine tuned.
I want people to be in their best health possible so when they do eventually get exposed to COVID, they kick its spike protein a-s.
Perhaps Dr. Fauci and I agree on some things about preventing illness.
Listen to Dr. Fauci pre-COVID. It’s only 37 seconds.
When did he change his mind?
Why did he change his mind?
Did someone change his mind?
I get whiplash watching him change his mind so often.
But this post is not about him.
It’s about keeping you safe and prepared for the cold weather viral season, just in case.
As written in past posts, I believe ketogenic diets are very helpful for optimal health fine tuning. Avoiding processed foods, sugars and fake fats is a must. Try to develop your version of an anti-inflammatory Paleo diet, aiming for a more ketogenic metabolism and start today, before you get exposed to COVID. We can help you at the IMW. There are others as well who can help via online, virtual or the old fashion way, reading books.
Here is some further reading about ketogenic diets/metabolism being helpful against COVID.
Just like in the original version of Star Trek,
We need a good engine or metabolism. Captain Kirk was almost always asking Scotty, his engineer, for more power from the engines. Whether it was for the warp drive engine for speed, for life support, the transporter, the shields, the phasers, or some other area of the ship, without an engine running smoothly on all cylinders, the Starship Enterprise would be in trouble.
Your metabolic system is your engine. To keep it running well and ready to take on all battles, consider a Paleo/Keto diet/lifestyle. If you are a member of the IMW and need help with this, let’s do it. We are here to help.
There are also other nutrients that could be helpful against COVID. I’d suggest you stock up now so you have them ready to go should you need. The best defense against COVID is an aggressive early offense using whatever is safe to use at your disposal. Do not wait until you are very sick and having trouble breathing to begin treatment. The goal is to be able to treat you at home and not end up needing hospitalization.
Available through IMW Wellevate- if not on back order.
Vitamin D3 - interesting study of VitD deficiency and COVID
If you don’t have a Wellevate account you can sign up here . If you are a paid subscriber to this newsletter, you can save up to 25% on the price of the supplements through Wellevate.
Available thru Bulk Supplements
Immediate release Niacin (the one that makes you flush- do not get flush free niacin)
Others as well if Wellevate is back ordered.
If you order thru Bulk Supplements, you probably should also order their spoons and scale so you can properly measure the correct dosage, if they are still in stock.
There is a Niacin-Melatonin protocol called Niatonin that uses Immediate release flush Niacin and Melatonin. You can research it for yourself before deciding if you think it can help. There is an active discussion group on telegram app on Niatonin protocol. Read thru as many of the testimonials, both positive and negative, as you can before deciding.
The IMW can be found on Telegram @IMWHorvitz
Other items to have on hand:
Digital thermometer
Pulse Oximeter
Nebulizer
Others agree on preparing early.
Make sure you have whatever of the above you get all together in one place and ready to go if needed, kind of like a COVID treatment pack.
Most importantly, make sure you work closely with a healthcare professional you trust that can provide early treatment options. If you are an IMW member, if you come down with COVID, get in touch with me right away and we can discuss individualizing your treatment. If not an IMW member, explore here and perhaps they can help?
Don’t wait until you get sick to start planning your treatment and recovery. There are early treatments options available against COVID. The best defense is early preparation and a great offense.
As always, comments are welcome ad encouraged.
Thank you once again for helping all of us stay healthy! Do you know a pulse oximeter that you can recommend?
Thank you. I would like to be prepared but not just order indiscriminately. Shouldn’t each person determine their individual needs based on their current state of well being?
