Thank you to everyone who followed along with the IMW Activity/Exercise Challenge. I hope you were able to add some type of your favorite activity/exercises to the previous Low Carbohydrate and Intermittent Fasting Challenges.
I put the #IMWChallenges in order of general importance.
Lower Carbohydrate diet/lifestyle is a great first step.
Intermittent Fasting is much easier to utilize after you have adapted to lower carbohydrate eating.
Increase in Activity/Exercise comes naturally with the increase in energy most people feel once they have come close to mastering Lower Carbohydrate and Intermittent Fasting.
The one thing all of the above challenges have in common is that they all help lower insulin levels in your body. Excess insulin makes us gain weight. Chronic excess insulin leads to overweight, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, dementia, cancers which honestly are the majority of health issues I deal with at the Institute for Medical Wellness (IMW).
But now it is time to move off of the insulin avenue towards other wellness roads. We have other Challenges/Monthly Health and Wellness Topics in the works. My hope is that you participate in your own way and pile one challenge onto the other. Optimal Wellness is not about one topic or challenge. Optimal Wellness is about achieving your own personal optimal balance where you feel great and you slow down your aging process using as many things (health challenges) together as possible, hopefully that you learned over the last few months.
Let’s all look for the WOW factor.

So stick around.
The May #IMWChallenge will be starting soon.
I’m in.
